Banyan tree roots

Tree roots in Fiji. Don't know the name of the tree. The farmer we visited said he did not know the English name for this.

Lars I wonder if it's a ficus. aka banyan tree.

More roots. A Moreton Bay Fig in a park close by that was planted in the late 1880’s. The amount of exposed root system covers about 1,200 square feet.

adenium obesum ... known/grown for its large root system. A plus when it blooms.

@jrb451, that's amazing. It looks like they are holding hands. (I tried to tag you but don't know how lol) I think I did it.

@dimac83, took that picture on the trail up to Uisage Ban Falls, outside Baddeck. The trees were really dense and lots of exposed roots. This is from a different angle.
