Help w/ exterior paint scheme with Red roof
Comments (18)You will get a much better return on your home if you landscape it well rather than paint the brick, especially since you plan to only be in the home a short time before you sell. Definitely remove the shutters since your windows are not designed for them. See this brief article on shutters: https://www.lifeofanarchitect.com/residential-architecture-101-shutters/ Back to landscaping and hardscape (your walkway): below is one idea. You would need to get with a local nursery to find out the best plants to use once you have a landscape plan. You can get good ideas in the landscape sub-forum here on Houzz. Just post there for more ideas for your specific home....See MoreExterior paint scheme - what color to paint 7(!) doors
Comments (3)Thanks for the Cottage Red suggestion Houssaon. I might want to go a bit more bright/true red, but that is a really good muted option. Comments (2)If your siding can be painted, you can choose the color you want. If you want darker -- perhaps to blend in more with your natural woodsy surroundings -- consider this muted green: Sherman Williams Privilege Green https://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/paint-colors-by-family/SW6193-privilege-green...See MoreExterior paint scheme for brick ranch
Comments (5)I would not paint the shingles. They blend very well with the brick. I had to look twice to find them. Thats the way they should look. I wouldnt change anything, repaint in the same color you have, it looks good. I would also reconsider the roof color, and try to keep a similar color to what you already have. I also like the shutters on your house. The garage seems to stand out, more than it should, already, so I wouldnt accent it with another color door....See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
