Entry way table or no?

Trying to decide on an entryway table or not. I initially placed one with a mirror above it, but I need to decide if it looks right in the space. I've attached pictures of the space with no table and one with a table for reference. I was placing the table to the left of the door, but I have also considered moving it to the right of the door, which is also the landing for our stairs, so that it would be multi-purpose. Ignore the paint mess, it was being finished up. Help!!

This is a teeny photo, but I can never copy a photo from Wayfair.

Here is the link. I think it would work well on the wall next to front door. You need something on which to hang company's coats.

either way, but I would put a much larger Slim sofa style table to serve many purposes, including a lamp, bowl for keys, etc. why not to the left of door along the wall we see?

Even a large hook or two for a coat.

Ours is 2 story with angles and differing walls. The table is functional for setting a purse or gift. We've used the space mostly as a gallery. For the holiday season the table is replaced with a tree. Congratulations on your new home. Here is a link that might be useful: Entry Foyer

Scrolling through the photos my first thought was it would look nice to have a plant or flowers for some softness. The table is pretty ornate so I'd keep the top simple and less. The last photo is better balanced. I'd actually lower the flowers a few more inches in the vase.

Height of entry way foyer table

Standard height for a hallway table is from 34" to 36". You can place a statue or flowers on the table to give it more height. Be sure to allow at least 36", and preferably 42", to walk between the table and the walls, otherwise people will feel squeezed as they move through the space. If there is not room for a table consider placing a round rug to distinguish the space. Or place a small table against one wall and a bench opposite it.

No to the placement you show-it's behind the door and looks awkward. It's hard to grasp the space without a measured layout, but why not perpendicular to the door on that one plain wall we can see a little bit of, though that table may be too small in scale depending on the size of that blank wall.

I agree. I considered doing that as well but I have a narrow hallway and feel like it blocks and makes it feel smaller. Now we painted it white, it may help.

If I place it in the hallway, trying to decide maybe if I should do anything surrounding this door and stairway landing then.
