All safe after earthquake. I misread your drawing. You have lots of space. I would turn the vanity so that the sinks are opposite the entry. No windows were shown, so I am assuming this is a windowless bathroom -- can you add a solartube for natural light? I am not a fan of putting the toilet in a closet -- makes me feel claustrophobic. I am attaching a proposed plan. Enclosing the toilet will make the room feel less spacious. Consider an etched glass panel to "hide" the toilet space.

We renovated recently and removed an old cast iron tub that had been reglazed badly several times - it was tough for our plumbing team to find someone to cut it up and get it down the narrow stairs.. we opted for an acrylic model for our replacement, I absolutely love old things too but definitely appreciate the new pipes that our team was able to run to the new bath as well as a nice level subfloor 😅

Emilyam819, thank you. Option 2 is less expensive, and if it looks good, I’m all for keeping costs down. Linen Closet already exists. Additional Linen Closet will replace the current stall shower in the water closet room. I’ve always felt that there was something “off” about the bathroom layout, but didn’t know what it was. You identified it: that the Linen Closet isn’t even with the other walls. I like the idea of a hamper. Design Interior South suggested a base cabinet with a pull-out or tilt-out hamper. I am leaning toward that idea now.
