Help?!? How should I decorate this wall?
Comments (2)Put a console on either side, add a lamp on each, and hang art above each. You're not showing enough of the space for anyone to even help. A room is about more than a single wall....See MoreHow should I decorate this exposed brick wall in my living room?
Comments (6)ugh, Houzz failed to post my comment from before. I recommend large, tall open shelving, but sparsely decorated so it doesn't seem too cluttered. you can DIY this by buying 3-4 ladder shelves. they could be pushed together or spaced a few inches apart. there are kinds that lean, and kinds that are straight. get really tall ones for your space-- which you'll need to bolt at the top so they don't tip over. if you didn't want to bolt into brick, there are kinds that anchor to the ceiling and floor. I believe some types don't bolt to the floor, but grip it instead. these kinds of bookcases can get pretty expensive -- you have to contact special places that will supply you with tall enough poles. not usually something you can just get off of wayfair. but they are really stunning! https://www.archiproducts.com/en/products/bookcases/floor-ceiling-mounted...See MoreHow should I decorate living room corner. Comments (10)I finally gave up on the trendy indoor plants because I have dry winter air. Your spot is like mine with plenty of light. I got a nice citrus plant from Home Depot at a reasonable price. Mine is Midknight Valencia Orange. It has bloomed each year in the past 3 with that lovely orange blossom scent. No fruit, not enough sun for that. However, it is a very happy plant. It has large glossy dark green leaves. Better performance than many of the "houseplants" I have killed in the past....See MoreHow should I decorate our fancy but odd master bathroom layout?
Comments (23)I disagree that all your wood has to match. I kept asking my decorator about "matching" wood and she was flat out against it. Said it makes your house look like a furniture ad, and she didn't mean that in a good way. "Matchy-matchy" was her derogatory phrase LOL. Painting your walls, or some of them, would be a good way to bring some life to the room without adding dust-collectors. My vote would be for a soft watery blue-green-gray. For example the SW Sea Salt in this example. https://www.kylieminteriors.ca/8-most-popular-blue-green-paint-colours-mix-sherwin-williams-and-benjamin-moore/...See MoreHU-467821532
