Are you watching/going to watch any JB Ramsey documentaries?
Comments (54)I watched the CBS shows and I've watched the Dateline and some of the Dr. Phil. I don't know what to think, other than believing an intruder is the least-likely scenario. Not impossible, but very unlikely, due to the way the note was written, the way the body was discovered, and Burke's interviews shortly after the crime and 18 months after the crime. Burke said he heard his mother come into his room and then go out of it looking for JonBenet, and then he heard her in hysterics (as he said in the interview afterward "going psycho") and just stayed in bed pretending to sleep or trying to sleep, rather than go try to find out what had happened. Picture your own kids. You burst into your 9 year old's room and then just as suddenly depart. You are frantically crying and screaming, alerting your spouse and then placing a 911 call. Your 9 year old doesn't freeze with fear. They don't hide. They also don't come ask you what's wrong. They don't go find dad and ask what's wrong. They just stay in bed and wait. The only reason I can think of for him to do this is either that he was used to the sound of adults "going psycho" in other parts of the house and did not find that unusual/alarming--or he knew what the problem was and was waiting to find out how his parents were going to handle it....See MoreHomecoming. Is anyone watching this series?
Comments (7)Thank you all for your comments. I'm going to give it a try. I've liked JR in all the things I've seen her in. It's a freebie on my trial membership so I've got nothing to lose. I was just curious if anyone else had seen it because I didn't want to miss out on something good. The only thing I'm doing tonight is waiting for my bread slices to dry out before I make my TG stuffing. Think multi-tasking....See MoreAnyone have BritBox streaming service? Suggestions of what to watch?
Comments (5)I love British television, so alternate subscriptions to Britbox and Acorn through Amazon. I'm currently using Britbox. I tend to prefer the classics and historical pieces, but have enjoyed some of the more current shows as well as documentaries. Here are a few shows that I've enjoyed: Mysteries: Midsomer Murders, Poirot, Miss Marple Drama: Bramwell, Upstairs/Downstairs, Cranford, Lark Rise to Candleford, The Street, Ordinary Lies, Gideon's Daughter Comedy: Mapp & Lucia, Mum, Keeping Up Appearances, Would I Lie to You Lifestyle/Documentary: Inside Claridges, The Aristocrats, David Suchet on the Orient Express, Escape to the Country And, of course, any of the Bronte/Dickens/Austen period pieces!...See MoreAny one watching the Derek Chauvin trial?
Comments (106)What do you think about the other three officers? I understand that one of the two 'rookies' twice asked Chauvin to stop choking Floyd. I'd find Chauvin's partner as guilty as Chauvin. The third man? IDK. I wish media would stop linking *every* shooting by a police officer to this slow, calculated incident. I can understand why an officer shot the teen girl to stop her from killing another person. with a knife. I can also see how an officer would shoot at an armed person who had run from him after he was cornered and turned towards the officer in the dark of an alley. I can forgive the female officer for mistaking her gun for her tazer. These things happen in manoseconds, without the leisure *we* have to review alternatives. None of these deaths were necessary, but none of the deceased were 'innocents' either. It would help to limit which illegal activities are worth chasing someone down. It would help if police didn't have to assume that every person has a gun (since they do)....See More- 3 years ago
