Anyone watch Lisa Kudrow's WDYTYA episode?

WDYTYA standing for "Who Do You Think You Are?" :-)

I thought the scenes about slavery in Emmitt Smith's episode were deeply disturbing, and hearing about the Salem witch trials in Sarah Jessica Parker's episode made me think about that episode in American history in a way I'd never done before.

I found Lisa Kudrow's episode truly painful to watch, and the image of the little girl being dragged by her head from under the bed (and what happened to her then) nearly did me in. Perhaps it's because I almost certainly had relatives who met a similar fate. Or maybe it's because it's just so horrible.

I'm not complaining. I feel strongly that these things should not be forgotten.

From a genealogy standpoint, it's interesting that Lisa didn't go back very far in her family history. I guess she didn't have to, to find out what she needed to know.
