What color would you paint my house?
We will be having our little spanish colonial bungalow painted and are struggling to decide on colors. My initial thought was a warm white with sage trim, but I am not sure. We just had new fiberglass windows installed which are paintable, but we prefer to leave them white if that works with the color scheme. Thanks in advance!

Comments (6)Is it stucco? I've been looking at possible stucco and stone combinations, too. I like the warm stone since it's a bit lighter, but does that go with the balanced beige? I can't tell on two different screens, but it looks like the warm stone would go with a cream trim better. If you are set on balanced beige I would hold up possible body colors next to it and the stone. The virtual taupe is too dark for my taste and I would be nervous about it fading in the sun. Comments (2)First colors on monitors are often very different that what the actual color is and in this case even worse since the pic is not in bright light . Comments (16)@elcoeg yes, it is stucco that has been painted gray. I am not a fan of our home's exterior overall, but it was in a prime location for good schools and an easy commute to San Francisco, so it worked well for us and I am sure it will be attractive to at least one buyer. I am intrigued by the idea of forgoing paint in favor of a nicer garage door. The trim does need to be painted due to some repairs, but the stucco is in decent shape....See MoreKj Albany

I would also give more detail to the frame of your front window. Landscaping will give the house more curb appeal and with the sloping lawn on the left perhaps you can do a retaining wall. You'll need to test the waarm white colours with 2 coats of paint on a large foam core board and walk around the house with it.
Note: Just saw the tile steps suggested above, that would be a great idea!

10 months agoJust wanted to follow up on our paint color choices. We ended up with SW Alabaster with SW Calico on the trim. Next project is tiling the steps!
