Comments (7)Carol, I’d love to be in the room with you while you scroll through the forum, your comments always make me smile.😊 Jen, I thought for sure you’d like it! Here is a good example of flower/color progression- the bush is in full sun all day. The middle bloom is almost a week old (it’s the first picture of my original post taken on 6/14). I like that it blooms in some singles and some clusters, I hope it maintains that as it ages. I’m bad at bringing roses inside, but I’d rather cut a single vs a cluster that isn’t fully ready....See MoreHosta k 2022..............
Comments (16)Paula, the Jetson joke is really unbelievable! Saija, I am happy to see you are with us…..why not post hostas that you have even if they’re not from 2022? Gary and Beth, your Kaledichrome hostas are amazing! Love the striped leaves! NW, you have a lovely view from your window! I think you are the one who inspired me to buy Krossa. Beth, Saija and Sunnywood, all of you have perfect Komodo Dragons ……It looks bigger than Krossa….is it? Saija, I have been having houzz problems too. For some reason I can’t access my library photos through the app. I have been going to my old bookmarked link through the hosta forum. debra...See MoreHosta Mini or Smalls 2022 ...............
Comments (17)Beth , peren and old_dirt, I have some of the same as you three do. Let me comment on ones I don’t have….. Beth, Bitsy Gold is a cute one. Looks especially good in a pot. I love the trio of minis in a pot as well. Peren, well….you just have soooo many! Some new ones I have purchased are ones I’ve seen in your garden. Sometimes I buy multiples and plant them together as well to make a bigger plant quicker…..lol I really like Cracker Crumbs, Crumb Cake and your row of 4 minis is cute. I love Teaspoon and Ladybug! old_dirt, your Mini Skirt looks great in that planter! I have seen Surfer Girl before, but in your garden it has a lovely light green shade. Also love Pocket Full of Sunshine….. I had one, but I believe it developed nematodes so I tossed it. I may have to give it another try! debra...See MoreHosta Giants and the Large guys 2022 ............
Comments (15)Laurie, your Blue Angel is huge! I thought mine was big at about 5 feet, lol lol. Also, cannot believe the size of Krossa Regal and Regal Splendor! Winter Snow is a lovely giant…. I ordered that one but it will take time to get to the size of yours….. Terry, all three of yours look terrific! After looking in the HL I agree that the one labeled BM, is not. I am no expert, but it seems to lack the puckering, any blue and the wax coating that can be seen in most pictures. That said, it is described as having “leaves (that are) a light blue, cordate and have excellent substance.” Nearly slug proof. Also checking the flowers when it blooms may help. It has pale lavender flowers that bloom early and are floriferous. Hosta Size 54X48. I haven’t seen you in the forum before, WELCOME if you are new! So I am not sure how familiar you are with the Hosta Library. But, in case you aren’t….. on the front page there are 3 columns under the alphabet. First column, second row you will see “Rawson’s Lists.” The lists group hostas into all kinds of categories. Blue, green, margined, sun tolerant etc. You could print the page for green hostas and when you have time, look through the library and see if any hosta looks like yours. Tedious, but worth the effort perhaps. Beth, you also have some nice giants….Fried Green Tomatoes is huge! Looks like your biggest one! I’m impressed with the height of Komodo Dragon’s petioles….and the leaves are so nice and rippled. I envy your flowers on Sum & Substance…..so prolific. I have Wave Runner, but it’s young….can’t wait to see it get large…. hosta_maker, your Victory is really humongous!! Not as large, but sooo awesomely BLUE, Queen of the Sea takes my breath away! Why did I think it was a green hosta??? debra...See Morehosta_maker
