Decor ideas for small boys/guest room
Comments (1)Call me crazy, but I love lt lime & a soft aqua together. Just because I always do what I shouldn't (lol)..I'd make a wide horizontal stripe (maybe even using a couple moldings for dimension, instead of just paint)..between the 2 colors (as a chair rail). Then do the stripe/molding in a silver foil technique. You can then add chrome accents in lamp bases, photo frames, etc. Taking a pleasing color opposite on the color wheel-use that color for a grouping of 6 prints (framed in silver/chrome) and for throw pillows/rug, etc.. Crazy, I know....See MoreGuest Room - Looking for Ideas ?
Comments (7)Ok, I have a different chair and a bookcase for my guest room. I will change the curtains (they'll go in master bedroom now). Below are the curtains in the master bedroom which I can move into the guest room - they have green, beige and gold in them and I think they could go with the bookcase. I can change the accent pillow to maybe a green and beige print? Or perhaps a throw? I haven't dressed up the bookcase yet - just hauled it in from my car this morning. What do you think of the color of the bookcase - as found at the consignment shop? Should I change it? Don't say anything about my little rabbit, he is looking for a home but hasn't found it yet. Ha! I already had the lamp and the framed mushroom photo. The tan lampshade picks up the color of the mushrooms....See MorePLEASE help me decorate my guest room!
Comments (22)Not quite sure what Sammy meant but here’s a go... wall 1 has closets on it. Next to it is wall 2 with window and bed. Wall 3 has window, chest and chair. Wall 4 has dresser. Can the bed go on wall 4, and move dresser to corner of wall 2 and 3, and chair to corner of wall 1 and 2, and perhaps chest can go at foot of bed?...See MoreBathroom Decor ideas... please!
Comments (8)What don't you like about your vanity and mirror? How do YOU define bright and happy? If this were my space, I'd remove 'Splash' and get a bright fabric I loved and hang it at ceiling height as a shower curtain. Hung from ceiling to floor outside the tub, it would make a huge focal point that would distract from anything else I disliked in the room. (Keep the other rod for the actual shower curtain.) I agree with cpartist about the backsplash. It doesn't jive with the rest. I'd probably change the mirror to a round one similar to this and get my kids' artwork on the wall. Seriously one of the cheapest and most personal ways of adding colour and art to a home!...See MoreLyn Nielson
