Hi,
i have ordered two climbing roses, one is James Galway by DA and the other Zephirine Drauhin - expected to arrive in March.
both are supposed to be shade tolerant.
the spot i have in mind for ZD gets about 2.5 hours of direct sun and some dappled sun for another 2 hrs during the summer months, while brightly lit all day through out the year.
i was wondering whether this much sun is enough to keep ZD healthy or not. I garden organically and dont intend to use any harmful chemical to fight pests devouring the plant.
if someone can share experience with growing ZD as well as James Galway, i will really appreciate. Trying to understand light req, level of maintenance involved as well as specific pest problems. i am located in Zone 6b, with hot and humid summer.
