I am looking to replace 2 Bernhardt side chairs I’ve had for less two years due to extreme grunginess that I cannot remove. I’ve got teens, 2 dogs, and 2 cats and the grunge is just from general life, no particular known cause. To match our room, I’ll need to go with ivory/white again but want to be very cautious about the fabric I choose. I am interested in the Pottery Barn York chair in upholstery (I just don’t like the slouchy, wrinkled slipcover look) and am trying to decide between performance (Heathered Basketweave in ivory) vs Sunbrella (performance Slub Tweed in white or Sahara Weave in ivory).

I would love all opinions about the FABRIC you chose for your Pottery Barn seating and how it’s held up for stains, pilling, and ESPECIALLY general grunginess. It’s hard to find a lot of genuine information about the fabrics. I’ve attached photos of my grungy chairs below.
