First consideration should be what you need for light control and privacy. Can you share those needs?

For the privacy, I'd opt for top down bottum up shades or blinds. I'd then decide if the panel curtains are needed/wanted.

I would move the chest it is too tall and wide for that space. Then what else is in the room?

There are a thousand options between fabric roman shades, and curtain panels. Privacy can be separated from decorative or not. Take more pictures of the whole space, and that dresser should not stay where it is, long term. Doesn't look good.: )

Panels, to the floor, rods hung high and wider than the window frame is what I suggest, which means you will have to move the chest (which is a good thing).

Light blocking liners will work well in a bedroom.

Another vote for moving the chest. Too wide and tall for that space.

I agree to both 4 pices of drapery maybe more than 4 panels and move the dresser . Any more help requires pics of the whole space . I dislkke pleated shades always nice drapes are IMO a lux feel in bedrooms.

Curtains. Treat the windows separately. Move the chest of drawers.

I am not at all fond of the trend to hang curtains close to the ceiling. Extra cost, trying too hard and it looks stupid if the curtains are left open most of the time. It is just OK if you never open them and the curtains are total blackout. If you can see light through them, then you aren't fooling anyone into thinking you have really tall windows. Nevermind people who understand construction and know that there is a solid header above the window. Ends up looking like you wasted money buying all that extra fabric.
