Not sure the "gold" semi-sheer will look that great with a gray sofa. Perhaps you could take a sofa pillow to the store with you to look at them in bright light side by side to see if they give you the look you want. I like the idea of eliminating dust catchers and dust makers. I like the clean look of an open window, but it sure is nice to have something to be able to pull over the window for sun or privacy. Shades of some nature are a great alternative, but in a kitchen I would want something that is easily cleaned, or, at least easy enough to clean that you can clean it. You can get blinds with all manner of different features such as black out, top down, outside mount, cordless, etc. and made of different materials. I am getting ready to replace the metal mini blinds in my kitchen. They have been up for a very long time and now have several issues.

I think the drapery panels with the swing arm sconces will look great. The drapery panels soften the space.

Between the radiators and no wall space to the left of window D, I would skip curtains and rods altogether. If the radiators are electric, you definitely want to skip curtains. You look to have plenty of depth in the windows to hang blinds or shades in them.
