curtain or no curtain ♀️
Comments (5)So buy two panels? And style them open like this... Yes, two panels. :-) If your ceilings are 8', you'll want to buy 95"-96" curtains, and mount the rod high enough so that the curtains barely kiss the floor. The rod should also extend roughly 8"-10" (depending on the thickness of the panels) on either side of the window, so that the window isn't blocked by any fabric when the curtains are open. In the photo you posted of the pink cotton panels, the rod is mounted too close to the top of the window (the panels are too short, despite the slight break at the bottom; if you want a break or puddling, you need longer panels to create breathing room at the top of the window), and there isn't sufficient space on either side of the window for the curtains to rest fully against the wall. They also failed to hide the mounting brackets on the sides, using the last fold of fabric as they slid the panel onto the rod. :-D Oh, and I wanted to mention one last thing, since it just happened to me 2 days ago: If you go with washable 100% cotton, make sure the store/site you buy from allows returns after washing. I received a substantial order from Bed, Bath, & Beyond, and immediately tossed all 12 panels in the wash (2 loads with 6 each). The cotton panels shrunk by *eight* inches. I was so mad. Back they go, to BB&B!...See MoreShould I use curtain rods or curtain tracks for this wall?
Comments (1)Between the radiators and no wall space to the left of window D, I would skip curtains and rods altogether. If the radiators are electric, you definitely want to skip curtains. You look to have plenty of depth in the windows to hang blinds or shades in them....See MoreCurtain rod and curtain placement

Comments (11)Curtains. Treat the windows separately. Move the chest of drawers. I am not at all fond of the trend to hang curtains close to the ceiling. Extra cost, trying too hard and it looks stupid if the curtains are left open most of the time. It is just OK if you never open them and the curtains are total blackout. If you can see light through them, then you aren't fooling anyone into thinking you have really tall windows. Nevermind people who understand construction and know that there is a solid header above the window. Ends up looking like you wasted money buying all that extra fabric....See Morebprevite28
