Linen Closet size in your bathroom
Comments (5)My hall bathroom linen closet inside demension is 37 inches wide by 26 inches deep. It is very easy to access because the door is 30 inches wide. It has 5 shelves in it but could easily have 6. I think the size is more than adequate. We don't store sheets in it but it does hold a lot of things including a case of toilet paper and a case of paper towels, pool towels, bath towels, and all sorts of other assorted bathroom items. My MB closet is another story. It is a tunnel at 37 inches deep and 22 inches wide with a 16 inch door. Not sure what the previous owner (who was the builder) was thinking when he put that closet in. Maybe he had extra, extra long arms!...See MoreMaster Bath - walnut slab, other proposals
Comments (9)trailrunner ... I do remember cat_mom's table, it has been a great source of inspiration for me. Good advice about the height of the white oval sink, I hadn't thought of that. I'd love to see pictures of your bathrooms again, I think I have seen them already, but just about everything is your house seems to be pretty fabulous, so I'd love to see them again. I'd love to not have a curb into the shower, but we cannot drop the floor in the shower area, we have to raise it up to accomodate the curb, drain and the teak mats. I love the look of wet rooms, but I'd also like to limit (at least a little) the amount of water on the floor in front of the vanity, so I like the curb for that. My layout picture isn't great, sorry about that. The operational end of the bathroom is the 'top' of the bathroom layout, with the toilet. The shower head will be there, separated from the toilet space by a 32" long glass wall. This wall is 88" long, so about 44" for the shower and 44" for the toilet. The vanity is on the opposite 88" wall. The layout shows a short vanity, but in reality I will have a long piece of walnut perhaps spanning the entire 88" span, at the 'non-operational' end of the shower. Similar to my second inspiration picture from Houzz. The sink will be centred on the half (44") of the slab in the 'vanity' area, not centred on the whole 88" length of the slab. While the width (if you will) of the bathroom is 88", it is only 80" in length. The entrance to the bathroom will be between the toilet and the shallow plank vanity. Hope that helps, sorry it is so confusing....See MoreI've been trying to calm down for an hour - stained marble
Comments (22)Ouch. A stiff gel/paste mix with a Ph neutral cleaner and poultice + baking soda may help lift, you may also want to cover the paste in saran wrap while it sets for 48 hrs...after which I would be utilizing an extractor to suck out the stain rather than wet liquids to carry it further down into the stone. Knowing that you have a laticrete waterproofing and mesh underneath id leave tearing out the tile as a last resort as it may compromise the waterproofing opening a bigger issue. If you find the stain to be very topical and not so deep set you may also ask youre installer about polishing down the pan with successive diamond grits/poulstice to remove the top most layer -,(******** not for the rookie polisher) - best of luck...See Moreadjustable white shelves for bathroom linen closets
Comments (10)You can have deeper shelves. But it will be much harder to access the contents. That’s when you need all kinds of labeled organizer bins. 12” deep shelving is much more efficient. Especially if you were to create it in an L shape for your closet rather than the standard straight across. Then you have room for a broom hanger too. The base shelves can be slightly deeper for towel storage. But you will be able to find and reach what you need rather than tossing the whole closet b cause it’s in the back of s 24”D shelf....See Morecaroline94535
