PNW exterior house paint color

We recently purchased a new home on an island in the PNW. We would like to repaint the exterior of the house. Right now it is painted:

Body/horizontal boards: SW Morris Room Grey

Accent/ vertical boards: SW Shitake

Trim/Fascia: Thunder Gray

Front Door: Caviar

Maybe I am just slow to accept new trends but I do not like the dark trim and fascia. I think it makes the white windows look small. I also think the contrast between Body and accent color is too similar. From the street the house just looks one color.

We have thought about gray, green with white trim or even white with dark gray trim. We would appreciate everyone's ideas.

I like it. It looks very nice. I particularly like the fact that it looks all one color. If the accent color were another color, it would be way too busy looking. The darker trim, gives the house a nicer look.. Lighter trim, will give a blah look. Nice looking house. Congratulations on your new home.

I would keep the siding all one color. I would keep the vertical trim the same color as the body --- you have a lot going on in that house. Other than that, it's nice. Beige isn't my favorite color, so I'd go with a cream or sage green instead, but that's my personal preference.

My front door is going to be purple. Eggplanty purple. My house green was supposed to be a dark sage/spruce but the shingles we picked out at Home Depot which were neutral brown were discontinued and the ones DH ordered from a roofing supplier ended up being really orange and needed a warmer green. My house is almost as bright as spring grass...it photographs almost neon green which is why I'm not posting a photo. I swear it is a green found in nature but not according to my digital camera... Trim is lighter green and windows hunter green. Gutters are chocolate brown. We did fake cedar shakes above garage and front door which are supposed to be the color of a stained cedar fence but painter painted them the wrong color and weather has cooperated to repaint. I was really, really sick of gray. Going for a bungalow/Craftsman look. Found one photo that shows the color accurately (poor trampled lily to the left of the daphne lived :) :

Thank you for the suggestions @ decoenthusiaste, @ Momofthree Ma and @ Beth H. We are on a limited budget, so we won't be able to replace the siding. Do either of you have suggestions on the best way to add window trim? Will we need to have someone remove part of the siding and re-flash the windows to do this Also, do you have any suggestions for what we could do with the steps? We don't have a budget to build a porch, but could make some minor mods to this structure. We will be adding some landscaping this fall.

Keep the shakes! They lend your house character and texture and are fitting for the style. I think it would be bland without them. However, that doesn't necessarily mean you need to keep them stained. Paint is always an option. White is always a classic choice and never goes out of style, whether you keep the shingles stained or not. Greys have been around for some time now and may begin to look dated sooner than you'd like. One idea that I have been loving a LOT is to go darker. Just an idea! Best of luck!

Wow, I really appreciate everyone's ideas. I just could not figure out why the builder used two different colors that read as one but now I understand from all of your input that it would just be way too busy with two colors. And perhaps I am just going to have to accept that dark trim is a thing. Thank you for helping me move into 2022.
