Can someone give me more info on roses used to extract oil from
Comments (8)Hi wanttogarden I suspect it's some kind of Damacenna rose, and most if not all oil production in Bulgaria and Turkey uses different strands or varieties of this rose. Autumn damasks are used too, because I have read some harvest flowers twice a year. For the rose jam or syrup it doesn't have to be one particular variety to get very simmilar aroma, and the color can easily be adjusted by the choice of petals. Choose the really red ones for the most clear color, at least mostly red petals. Use what ever petals you can find, as long as they are fragrant it will be a great jam. Recipe: Two litres of rosepetals, enough water to cover them, boil for one minute; sugar and pectin type jelling agent to thinken the liquid (as recommended on the bottle). Use very small jars, don't put the lid on until it has thickened (important, or it will not set). You can have the jell as solid or as runny texture as you want. Rose elixir / syrup from the middle east is often made with glycose syrup, and not sugar/pectin, but some are, there's several types even there. My post got a bit long, but my main point is; you don't have to wait until next year to make this, and there's no reason to wait for the genuine variety of rosepetals, even though that will be very interesting too :-) Rose de Resht, Etoile de Holland, Crimson Glory, any of the red hybrid perpetuals would give fantastic results....See Moreants and noise - need out of our lease. can someone help us out?
Comments (11)"Upon examining our lease....it was discovered that I did not initial half of the places that required it on our lease. I also did not sign the very important section regarding DEFAULT BY RESIDENT. My roomate DID initial all of these places and did sign. The only portion my SIGNATURE is on....is the deal page where it talks about rent and deposit calculations. Is there any legal way for us to break this lease without having to pay?" NOPE! Contracts cover "reasonable interpretation", and minor omissions don't make up for your signing the big spots. I had a tenant try to weasel out of a lease: a typo made it for a negative one year (started in 1996 and ended in 1995) ... and they decided the lease was invalid a couple of months into the term and moved out. I sued them for the rent they owed, they said "the dates are wrong, the lease is invalid" and the judge said "Typos don't count, pay the nice landlord!". What you can do: whenever the music runs past 9 or 10PM, call the cops about a loud party. Whenever the upstairs kids are stomping and yelling, call the manager and ask him to shut them up....See MoreToo much gift wrap & gift bags
Comments (18)We're planning a closet -- typical hall closet size -- that'll have a lock instead of a doorknob; thus, it'll be accessible only to me and my husband. This closet'll have shelves top to bottom, and maybe basket type shelves on the inside of the door for bows, ribbons and so forth. The closet will serve a couple purposes: - gun safe - purchased-ahead gifts - gift wrap - a small amount of cash that we keep on hand As for buying ahead, I do pretty well with it. It's rare that I buy something that just sits around forever and ends up at Goodwill. When I wrap things, I just do basic wrap and use a sticky note to remind me what the item is. I add the bow at the last minute so that I can stack boxes without messing up th wrappers. I like the idea of putting your gift wrap items near the dining room. Practical and efficient....See MoreCanning gifts, canning 101

Habanero or other hot pepper jelly Place cheese and butter in food processor, add flour and process until mixture forms a soft dough. Gather up dough and flatten into 2 flat disks. Wrap in waxed paper and freeze until chilled, about 45 min. Position 2 racks in center and top third of oven and preheat to 400 deg. Line 2 baking pans w/parchment paper. Using 2 teas. dough for each, roll dough into small balls and place 1 in. apart on sheets. Bake 5 minutesâ¦.remove from oven. Poke an indentation in each cookie w/handle of wooden spoon. Place a dollop of jelly in each indentation (small one, or it will run over when it bakes). Return to oven and bake until tops are very lightly brown, about 10 min. Transfer to racks to cool. Note: I worked with one pan at a time, finding it easier because they bake for such a short time that I didnâÂÂt have to go through switching pans from one rack to the other. I never fail to get compliments when I make these. I hope you enjoy them. Jude...See Morenicole___
