I would get a very large, vertically hung rectangular piece for the short wall. It will give a lot of wow when you walk in the room, and if you leave the door open when the room is not in use, it will be nice to see when you walk by. I'd take care of that first and then see if and what you want to go on the long wall.

Why a mirror with a shelf ? IMO the lighting needs the tweaking for sure it is very glaring and why greige for the walls? As for what to now put on the walls I agree a nice big piece on the wall facing the door to start. I think this is aspace crying for wallpaper but not a cheap answer .You do not need another ledge and IMO the one on the mirror is all wrong.

COLOR! Art on the short wall. Then a rug that picks up colors in the art. And then hand towels that pick up those colors as well. You have lovely basics. Now…add some life to the room with color. I would go LARGE abstract art.

Agree with adding color. Gray/greige windowless rooms are dark and drear. I like clear, true red.

One knockout, large, colorful piece of art will bring this room up a notch. Look at whimsical posters if you think powder rooms can use a sense of humor. But buy what you love. You can’t “make a mistake” here.

If you're wanting to keep it subtle, consider wall decals that are close to the color of the wall. Could be anything you fancy, like trees, flowers, vines, or even a sun/moon motif.

JMO…. Glass covered art May not work in all rooms. They tend to reflect other parts of the room. Light also bounces off them. Try glass and canvas art. See what works in the room. Please post an update when done.

I have been having a heck of a time finding canvas art that I like for over my sofa. Glass art reflects my tv🤦‍♀️. It’s been a six month process. I have art paralysis.

Would you consider changing the paint? I did a powder room in BM Caponata, a deep plum, and it was gorgeous.

Wall paper would work well.

Agree with others - large vertical art on short wall, a real rug (not bath mat) and hand towel that have your accent color, accent color on the warm spectrum (like red, yellow, salmon, cinnamon, clay), tray with soap pump and something else I.e., LED pillar candle, cylinder vase filled with fairy lights, etc). It is OK to leave long wall blank.

Wall paper! It’s crying out for wallpaper…..hopefully you don’t hate wallpaper!

I like live plants in every room.

How about a few (odd number) of lucky bamboo in a simple vase to the left side of the shelf?

Maybe two straight ones and one curlicue.

See if you can find a nice matching set of soap and lotion bottles and put them on a tray.

You can also get a tray for paper hand towels.

I know, paper, ick, but in these infectious times, disposable is best.

You can look for a nice reed diffuser for the other side of the shelf.

Thanks to all! Finding the right big art piece may be easier than wallpaper and I’m likely to go that route, but if I do go with wallpaper, which walls do I paper or should I do all? @plf12652 @toni hamlett

Nothing is all wrong if someone loves it. IMO.

If you decide on wallpaper, do all the walls, or add a chair rail and paint below and wallpaper above.

I know you would prefer art rather than wallpaper since it’s simpler, but the space could look phenomenal wallpapered…which would really warm up the entire room.
