Backsplash? No backsplash? What kind of backsplash?
Comments (25)didn't have time to read all the answers. I have no backsplash and have never regretted it...been over 6 yrs. It is painted with BM matte...which has ceramic in it. It is as beautiful now as it was when first painted. I love the fact that I can showcase other things ...art etc in my kitchen and no competition. Also if I ever want to change it is as quick as a paint brush...expense is minimal..paint only ! All in all I think it is serene as you point out . Here is one pick. Since I have a lot of high heat cooking in my kitchen..built in deep fat fryer as well as gas cook top I can definitely speak to the longevity of paint only. c ( more at this album )...See MoreCambria Montgomery -Help with backsplash Please!
Comments (19)Hi - Our cabinets are white. The tiles we looked at were Crystile Wave Pacific Ocean and Soft Mint Green. We ordered samples from TIle Oasis for $2.95 a sample and a Cambria Sample of Montgomery and looked at them for days. I also took them to work and had every vote. People said both colors went with them but everyone thought the green really "went better" with it. Its a very tough decision when you know you are going to have to live with it! Let me know if you need anything else....See MoreHelp With Backsplash Please!
Comments (221)Thanks NewEnglandgal! Turned out so lovely and I love all of the wall colors. My issue will be cabinets will go all the way to ceilings and the crown will die into it from great room so I may be stuck with that trim color having to stay with the flow. Hmmm all things to consider. Thanks so much! Enjoy and hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday this Season in your new home! Blessings!...See MoreHelp with backsplash please!
Comments (14)Hey @Liz! No worries about the time it took you to respond; I’m just glad you’re here now and that you like the options I suggested! Now to address the concerns you had... Do you think my counter is plain enough, or simple enough, to go with an intricate backsplash like those? I do think your countertop can handle a more stylized backsplash than you thought. Even though it isn’t a solid, the pattern is so diffuse and the colors muted enough that, overall, it kind of reads as a solid. In any event, the only way to know for sure is to see how samples look in your kitchen. You can also print out pictures of tiles just to get a feel for how the patterns might look in your kitchen. I don't think tilebar delivers to Canada and I don't know where to find samples like these anywhere. I was looking at a chain tile place here in Edmonton (Tile Town) but maybe they don't show everything they offer?! If you're really keen on a particular tile, don’t worry: we’ll find a way to get them to you...even if that means having them shipped to me and then I ship ‘em to you! Honestly, though, I’m know there’s a terrific tile—maybe even the exact same ones as those sold by Tile Bar—in Canada with your name on it. ;)...See MoreIlovecolors
