Comments (5)A large piece of frosted glass? (Altho I love stainless steel, and there are several catalogs that sell self-adhesive "tiles" of it, so it could be a DIY job.) My sister has a large piece of glass that her kitchen reno team painted (for a reason that I think was the heat factor of the stove, merely putting clear glass over the painted wall wouldn't work)....See Moreupdating brick and landscaping
Comments (1)Leave the reddish brick walls, and the stairway brick too, since they all match. For the foundation, but, the type of paint for stone and brick, and paint the foundation with a color close to the color of the brick. Pick pavers that will blend with the brick color, and other colors of the house, not something that will fight with the house....See Morekitchen nightmare advice needed

Comments (4)any chance of replacing the lights and the fan? (if you need the fan, you need something w/longer blades. that current one is just wrong) The chandelier is all wrong for that space. if you want something a little glam, try a semi flush mount light like this. Get a piece of art for over that chest. You need a larger media console. the TV should be 2/3 the size of the console. your's is much longer than what it's sitting on. something like thislonger console would look better, give you more storage. you mount your tv to the wall for a less cluttered look. you could use something w/a bit of height on that wall. this could work (and you have a place for all the toys. or think about something like this tall ikea cabinet (you need some vertical things in this room. art, furniture, plants, etc) to store all that stuff s properly sized what about something like this? (minus the electric fireplace) you could do a row of bottom cabinets (for lots of storage) paint them, add a butcher block on top, mount your tv to the wall You other art is hung too high Try a vertical picture like this, and put the 'word saying' elsewhere. side table, fan, plant in the corner As you can see, painting the walls an accent color really isn't a solution at this point....See MoreHU-908267539
