Comments (6)i put a chandy in our master bath and i love it! looks elegant... the chandy i chose is a 5 arm chandy...didn't even think about the odd # of lights when i chose it and i understand what your friend means by 'lopsided' (although i don't think i've seen any 3 armed, the issue partially is the odd # i think...)-- every once in awhile, depending on the angle i look at our light it does look slightly off kilter...but only from cerain angles.....but i'm used to a 6 arm in the kitchen and an 8 arm in the dining room, so maybe it depends on what you're used to seeing......See MoreWhat does your bathroom floor look like?

Lindy I love your current bathroom - the floor and particularly the way the shower and bath are- I have a similar layout and envisioned what you did but had not quite seen it. Comments (4)yayagal - you did Aura on bathroom cabinets? Are they holding up well with moisture? I can't imagine how long it would take her to get all the paint off of these now. So a finish sanding would make it smoother and then you do another coat on top of that? Dang, wish I didn't have such a bum arm and could do this stuff myself but just the prep I've been doing for the painting projects has been more than I can handle....See MoreKitchen cabinet hardware: Does this look too like a bathroom pull?

3 years agoI thought I posted these not too long ago. The first two are of our guest suite bath, the 3rd and 4th are of our main bath.

3 years agolast modified: 3 years agoOur Powder Room: again, the brushed nickel fixtures to work with our punched tin light fixture and mirror. This is the bathroom most guests use that are not staying over, and I wanted it to be interesting. Plus, I like color. Oh, and floors throughout the entire house are brick with various rugs here and there on them.

3 years agoWhen DH gutted our avocado tub/shower enclosure and all the other avocado fixtures we went with white subway. No walk in shower in the main bathroom. I still think one needs a tub in a home and as you pointed out most bathrooms are not luxury spas so the combo was necessary. I wanted all white because then I am free to change colors with shower curtain/towels w/o having to coordinate. If the black nobs intrigue you go for it--they can usually be swapped w/o issues years later if you tire of them.
Here's the basement bathroom he did a few years later. We went with matte finish due to hard water and spotting.
