Cancel the painter appointment. It's ridiculous to expect to be happy with a choice you rushed into when you've spent a fair amount of time struggling with it. Not to mention the expense of having someone else do it with a color you aren't sure about. Stop buying gallons of paint. Sherwin Williams has quart samples for $5 and there is a coupon for buy 1, get 1 free. I'm sure you can have samples made up at several paint stores, as well. Ok, I'm assuming you are staying with the imperial yellow? I like it, it's bold and I had that color in the living room of my last home. My dining room was paper-bag brown with a metallic gold ceiling I did in a kind of starburst. A little moody, but that's what I like for a dining area. I used red accents to spice it up. Our den was a brick red that leaned toward a deep coral and it flowed off the yellow very well. Like parma said, you want to have similar saturation of color in order for them to play well together. My cousin has an orange entry, purple front room, yellow living area and the back wall is a turquoise. It is fairly open concept and everything flows wonderfully because she used colors with similar intensity.

As to other issues -- there is a lot written in online reviews that expresses distress over both Samsung and LG ice/water through the door dispensers... does anyone who has one of these new models want to weigh in on this? Have they fixed this problem in the newer models? Is it a true problem or a matter of initial installation? (They say that you need to flush 5 gallons of water out of the dispenser initially to get rid of air in the line and then you won't have a problem..... is this true?) Also, as to different refrigerator model designs -- they actually recommended online that the refrigerator design with the four quadrants and the vertical lineup of drawers and door bins in the freezer is easier for shorter people than the big cavernous bottom freezers. I am actually on the taller side (5'8"), and to be honest I do not like bending over at all LOL! But at least it might be easier to find things below in a freezer composed of door bins and drawers, versus one big bin even if it has two levels. What do people who have actively used these different types of refrigerators, think of the new refrigerators by LG and Samsung with the tiered organization versus the old French Door/Bottom Freezer design?

All three of these colors are considered greige from what I read although on my walls husky seems less greige and a true dark grey. I’ve tried so many colors here. Edgecomb grey was completely beige with no grey showing through at all. Reverie pewter was a dark beige On these walls and wouldnt do any justice to an update. I also tried repose grey which was to dark and had a green cast at night. I must have tried at least 12 samples and I’ve narrowed it down to these three. I think my orangy wood furniture it throwing off the colors here. Its hard to see how they would work with the furniture white.

SW Kilim beige would work w your sofa tone. This shot shows kilim beige and a warm rich brown stain that would work for your floors. These are walnut floors which is not the species you have but there are stains that replicate this color tone. Work w your floor refinisher on that.
