Brizo Plumbing Fixtures - Thoughts?

We are in the process of a new build and I am looking at installing Brizo plumbing fixtures (Levoir, Litze and Invari.) For anyone with Brizo fixtures, what is your opinion on the shower heads, especially the pressure on the 1.75 gpm heads e.g. Levoir and Litze. How has the luxe gold and polished nickel finishes held up? Any other pros or cons to this brand?

I’ve tried to read reviews online (not a lot) and ask random people on Instagram who have them in their bathroom. So far the few people I’ve asked have been happy. Some online reviews have mentioned water pressure issues, though. Thanks in advance.

I used the Brizo Levoir throughout my new house, in Luxe Gold and chrome. No issues with the faucet function or finish in 10 months of use.

For wall mounted shower heads I went with Speakman Icon 2.5 gpm in Brushed bronze, a very good match to the Luxe Gold.

I am ablut to have brizo visage installed this week; shower, tub, and sink faucets ill post about how it goes .

As long as the fixture is available to the plumber from a pumping supply house and meets the standards of your state, you can choose fixtures from as many manufacturers as you like. But be careful if you want the finishes to match. The one thing I would not recommend buying used or from an overstock outlet is a toilet. The major issues with toilets from any manufacturer is the quality of the casting and where the bad ones go. Can you guess? I suggest putting the toilet base on a flat concrete floor and seeing if it rocks before leaving the store. Also the size and finish of the trapway and the quality of the seal of the flapper in the tank and the reliability of the float/valve are of major importance. Kohler has been the worst for flushing mechanisms for 30 years but I hear they have gotten better but I will still not specify one. Toto toilets are so wonderful it doesn't matter what they look like.

We were told to never ever go with Moen))) (Truth to be told-it's in the kitchen of our current house, and I didn't even know it's Moen, and never bothered me. but what do I know) So we focused on Delta, Kohler, Brizo, and some unknown brands from Signature Hardware that got positive reviews and were in our price range. Took us months to put it all together because some finishes are special order (like polished nickel. why??), and then you want to match different brands, because you want to have certain tub faucet that you can't find in shower fixtures..then you'd prefer to go with oil-rubbed bronze for example but they look cheap when done cheap; and if you want them to look amazing you need to pay a lot; unlike polished nickel for example that looks good at any price point. Also lots of new code stuff-for example you can't have head shower connected together with hand held shower..they have to be separate because California, drought. Etc, etc. In short. Huge PITA..and we're not finished quite yet. I like my master bath now because plumbing is not installed yet)) I have a feeling after all these faucets, showers, handles etc. appear-it won't gain much, aesthetically speaking, lol If I knew I'd have to deal with this headache-I'd just pay tons of money and got things I really liked. Easier said that done of course, because I didn't have said tons of money. (except for accessories-bars, hooks, etc..i don't like when these match, I prefer to hunt them later) PS. yes, were advised against European plumbing too-same reason, parts etc. also they might have different codes-like use of lead might be permitted, etc.

I think it's up to an individual person's tastes. Sometimes it works, somtimes it doesn't, and obviously beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For instance the top powderroom with the gold sconces, mirror-framed mirror, the two tones in the vanity and the small plant stand, as well as the varied tile patterns is just absolutely overwhelming to me. I could handle it with the tile and a white vanity and a chrome faucet and that would be it! So really is all up to personal tastes, and none are wrong even though they might not be exactly what you or I would choose.

The way the internals of plumbing work is not rocket science, and long lasting finishes and excellent quality internal parts are features of even moderate cost fixtures. So don't confuse spending a lot of money with "best." There are many moderately priced fixtures that will perform just as well as pricy ones...and a US-based company may have replacement parts more readily available when you need them in 10-20 years than some exotic item from, say, a small city in Italy. Look for name brand manufacturers that have been doing business in the U.S. for a long time and who offer lifetime warranties. Look at the styles you like without regard to price. Look at reviews after you narrow your choices down. And if the fixtures you like don't cost an arm and a leg, don't feel you made a wrong choice.

I’ve been very happy with our Brizo showerheads - both fixed and handheld. The handheld (Odin I believe, we mixed and matched) definitely requires a thermostatic valve where you can control the pressure separately from the temperature because the spray is almost painful

Help : ) I'm guessing you all have researched ---- I found a Brizo thread which many expressed continual problems with the fixtures. Thoughts?

No product is perfect and usually people are more likely to give a review for something they are unhappy with compared to a product that is working as designed.

Read all the positive and negative reviews and make your own conclusions.

I'm happy with the Brizo faucets so far and several other brands I have used in the past, but I will never buy Newport Brass again due to issues with faucets and accessories in my previous house! All the set screws in the Newport Brass faucets and accessories would loosen up and I had to tighten them every other month.

Thank you! Totally agree about who usually writes the reviews --- I try to keep that in persepcrtive while researching. Thank you for the NB insight; we have an expensive faucet that does that now and it drives me crazy! Where did you land for a kitchen faucet if I may ask?

For my main kitchen faucet I went with the Kohler Purist semi-Pro K-24982-VS. Very happy with this one.

For my prep sink and laundry sink I was supposed to have the Kohler Purist K-7505-VS, but it was back ordered and they had no clue when it might come in. I picked something else in the showroom that had a similar look, but was much more expensive. I can't find my invoice with this faucet brand/model, but I really dislike it. The spray is awful for a kitchen faucet, so underwhelming for the price. Really glad it isn't my main faucet. I'll try and find my notes with the model.
