It stays way too hot, too late most of the year where I live. Mid summer I am going to bed before it gets dark.

I wish we could stay on DST. I can sleep late but I cant drive in the dark.

I want the time to be like it was all the time when I was growing up in the 50's and 60's. Normal time. If it cannot be that, which is an arbitrary selection, please pick one or the other.

Sherry, is changing the clocks a recent thing? I honestly don't remember one or the other as a kid, and I walked to school all the time. So I guess we didn't otherwise I'd be walking home in the dark.

ETA: I grew up without it and it does not do what they say. It s just a pain in the a**. It does NOT "save electricity".

One of the biggest beneficiaries are the retailers as many shoppers won't shop after dark.

Fall back is normal time. If we would stay on that the kids would have no problem.

It is amazing to me how many people have no idea what Daylight Saving time is.

As to DST, I'm with Sherry, 100%! ! ! My body runs on Standard time, it pays no attention to what the clocks say. I can understand why there are those that like the change, but I am definitely NOT one of them! ! ! And I can't drive in the dark anymore, either, but that hasn't been a setback in any way.

The complaints about school hours could easily be fixed by changing the hours schools are in session, not changing the time for everyone. As for farming, animals don't know what a clock says.

Many high schools have already set back the time school starts to better match the way the adolescent brain functions -- slow to engage in the a.m. and slow to shut down at night: Vampire brain.
