Lou, ROTFL!!!! Jim, thank you - I appreciate it! I am not surprised I couldn't read the bag. Overnight it seems I need reading glasses! I think I made a combo of everything on here - lol. Removed casings and browned the sausage with onion and garlic. Added carrot, crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, bay leaf - simmered - then at the end added frozen green beans and a box of orzo. I made a mistake - I think I was supposed to do 1/2 cup and I put the whole box in so it was more like a stoup! I have 2 quarts left for lunch during the week:D Soup in the fridge is a good thing. Maria, I made something similar that Lydia B. made - it also had peccorino. I forgot about it - thank you. Funny you mentioned the red wine! I mentioned earlier that I wasnt going out - it was snowing. Well, it turned out I had half a class left of wine - so while I wouldn't go out for heavy cream I put the boots on for Ruffino Chianti Classico:D

Sauerkraut Balls 8 slices bacon ý cup finely chopped onion 1 clove garlic, minces -----we leave this out 1 can (16 oz.) sauerkraut drained ý cup mashed potatoes 1 Tablespoon parsley 1 ý cup finely crushed corn flakes 2 eggs beaten Oil Fry bacon in large skillet crisp, drain &n crumble. Pour off all but 2 T. fat. Add onions & garlic to fat in skillet. Cook & stir until onion is tender. Remove from heat, stir in bacon, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes & parsley. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto waxed paper lined baking sheet. Gently form ball shapes. Cover with waxed paper or plastic wrap, refrigerate until firm or overnight. Dip sauerkraut balls in eggs. Roll in crushed corn flakes. Heat oil to 375ð, fry until golden brown about ý minute. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot. Can be fried 24 hours in advance & reheat in 400ð oven about 10 minutes. We fry, cool, and freeze. This is my MIL's recipe for Sauerkraut Balls. We don't put the garlic in them. The Cheesy Bacon Chicken Tater Tot Bake is in the crockpot, smaller version, and with frozen hash browns instead of tater tots. The convenience store was out of tater tots. Note: My 3 quart crock pot is full to the top with only 2 chicken breasts, and not all of the cheese. We will be eating at 8:00! Oh well, I will be snacking in the mean time! Tami

What the heck - while I'm sharing, I'll give you a couple more: PATÂS ORANGE PECAN ROLLS FOR ABM Dough: 1 cup milk 1/2 cup butter, melted 1/4 cup sugar 2 eggs 3/4 tsp. salt 4 cups all-purpose flour 2-1/2 tsp. active dry yeast Filling: 1 cup cream cheese (two 8 oz. pkgs.), softened 1/2 cup orange marmalade 1 Tblsp. finely grated orange zest 1-1/2 Tblsp. sugar 1 cup chopped pecans Glaze: Confectioners sugar Half-and-half Vanilla Place all ingredients in your bread machine in the order recommended and use the dough cycle. (Made in 1-1/2 lb. Machine). Remove the dough from the machine when cycle is complete. Roll dough out on a well-floured board. Spread filling over dough. Roll dough up and slice. Place slices on a greased cookie sheet (or use Silpat). Allow to rise 30 minutes in a warm place. Bake in a preheated 350° F. oven for about 18 to 20 minutes. Make a glaze of confectioners sugar, half-and-half, and vanilla. Ice rolls while still warm. Enjoy! PATÂS PECAN STICKY BUNS FOR ABM Dough: 1 cup milk 1/2 cup butter, melted 1/4 cup sugar 2 eggs 3/4 tsp. salt 4 cups all-purpose flour 2-1/2 tsp. active dry yeast Filling: 1/2 cup butter, softened 1-1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed Topping: 1/4 cup butter, melted 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup light corn syrup Chopped pecans Heat butter, brown sugar and corn syrup, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Pour into greased pan. Sprinkle pan with pecans. Place all ingredients in bread machine in the order recommended and use the dough cycle. (Made in 1-1/2 lb. Machine). Remove the dough from the machine when cycle is complete. Roll dough out on a well-floured board. Spread softened butter evenly over rolled dough. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over butter. Roll dough up. Prepare Topping and place in greased pan. Sliced rolls and place over topping in pan. Allow to rise 30 minutes in a warm place. Bake in a preheated 350° F. oven for about 18  20 minutes. After removing from oven, allow to sit for approximately five minutes in pan. Invert pan over large cookie sheet that is lined with either Silpat or parchment paper. Leave pan on top of rolls for a few minutes to allow all pecans to drip onto rolls. Remove pan and enjoy!

I should be posting my crappy dinner on the WFD thread, but more important stuff going on here. "The inhaler was useless, the albuterol helped slightly at the time of treatment." Yep, lpink. I've found that with my Dad and my son. Both have nebulizers now (saga with my Dad) With this last go round with my Dad, he was on different courses of antibiotics/prednisone and albuterol breathing treatments over about 8 weeks still (coughing, coughing, coughing). Finally sent to a pulmonologist who added budesonide 2x a day to breathing treatments. Also breathing exercises (pickle, etc.) and changed his antibiotic to azythromycin because he had pneumonia. This is just some add'l info for you -- you know you and hopefully your immune system is going to kick butt here soon:) That's what I'm hoping. I'm sure you're exhausted both physically AND mentally! mamapinky0 -- wow! That's tough! Let's see ... activity and stress in a nine-year old? Um, yep. My goodness. I'm sure you've had your work cut out for you helping this little one recognize symptoms, triggers, etc. plus missing school, activities too, plus just being 9:) DS (25 now) came home from first grade basically coughing every 30 seconds (teacher kept sending him for water) Ended up in ER doing either 3 - 5 back-to-back breathing treatments, kid's eyes were all pupil. Went to Rite-Aid to get albuterol/meds. He was literally running laps up and down the aisles with my daughter trying to watch him. As the clerk told me it would be 30 minutes, I reached across, held her arm as he flew by and said "We don't have 30 minutes." DS always had trouble in fall but has been better in recent years, if that's any consolation. Agreed, 2Many! with your description of good doc! I don't want to get started (I mean look how long I've gone on) but I've said I gird myself for battle. I've actually watched a gastro back up out of the room while we were still asking questions -- sigh. I followed:) Wanted to add how difficult those years of caretaking must have been for you too, on so many levels.
