Agree on trying to avoid the wire. Our trim guy just did our pantry and used cabinet grade (birch) plywood. I just pulled the invoice from the lumber place and a 4x8 sheet (3/4 inch) was $45. His labor was already included in the trim out price (he charges by the sq foot and you get whatever you want included). Our dimensions are different, but I screwed up on the door. Initially our door was to one side, but I had framers center it thinking that I could use both walls. Wrong. It was too tight so he put deeper shelving in the back and one side, with some shallower shelving up to the door. I'm not sure what I'll do with that electrical outlet, but had them wire one just in case. There isn't a microwave going there though. There are some really good corner ideas on Houzz or Pinterest, but we just didn't have a ton of space in here. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on corner susans or anything because this is our overflow pantry off of the kitchen anyway. You can maybe find some ideas there though.

Thank you all for the comments. The entire right wall of the master bath is an open closet with a built in dresser, hanging rods and a bench. I think a deluxe walk in closet would be useful to store extra clothes and whatever else to help keep the open closet neat and tidy. I think it would add to resale value more than just extra garage space. A second master closet with a wow factor would be a nice bonus and hopefully seal the deal for new buyers as they went through the house and discovered it. Good guess that the rec room is used for storage now. When we bought the house we thought it would get more use, but we were not aware how hot it is in summer, and how cold in winter, or of the roof leaks. Our stored items are out of the way of the leaks we know of :) I am trying to get rid of things we truly do not need. Replacing the roof would be part of the job. A complete roof rebuild, not just the roofing material, since it is not built to be indoor space. It is built with plexiglass sections which magnify the heat..........and have deteriorated. We are aware we may need new walls and trusses to support the load of a real roof vs the plexiglass sections. I have had an architect look at the space :) But they are not signed on to do the drawings. I wanted to get other ideas first. I would like space to hold our safes and file cabinets not in the garage so they are more hidden. We were robbed once so I keep checkbooks and any personal financial documents in locked file cabinets and a freezer sized safe. I store old papers such as tax returns in a locked metal cabinet that I would want with the other papers. I know it would burn in a fire, I am more concerned about it being stolen and compromised. Do I need a file and safe room as one of the spaces? Perhaps. Or just in the big closet. I have also considered making it all or some of it a hidden room with a secret book case entry. It could be hidden from the garage, and by the time you walk around to the bedroom, you would loose track of where the walls are and it would be hidden :) The current double doors and single door at the top of the rec room are frosted glass French Doors. I like the light through them and would like to keep them. I like the idea of a new master closet more than I need it. Due to the firewall issues. I need to decide where the interior/living space ends vs garage. That is one reason I wanted to create this closet space on the interior side of the fire wall. Even if it ends up being just an unfinished not leaking storage space. lafdr

Thanks for some of the lovely options posted. The home is already built. So this is the space :) No worries there is lots of windows in the home including master bedroom and bathroom. This is above garage, hence the length. The 6.8" would not be less than 6.5", I shall measure tomorrow and update. Separate storage allocated for shoe closet, personal preference to have shoes setup separate & inside the home shoes are different than outside :). Luggage is probably the only storage planned for basement, more so now than before sadly. Storage needs - Purses, jewelry, cloths all kinds - daily home and work, yoga, tennis, dressy & party etc. I like kayozzy and bpath idea, at the entry to the left have a purse/jewelry narrow closet. Just like kayozzy said, at the bump out there is dressing area planned with sconces ( there is a vanity area in the master bath). Then there is that 8ish feet long deeper section with a window across, how best to use this space - 1) Should this be the dressing table area because of the depth and the window across for natural light... 2) Maybe a deeper under cabinets with counter. if possible some kind of pull out island... Then have upper cabinets come to the counter. 3) Maybe pantry like tall pull outs, I like this but this means it will all be closed. I want to be able to see everything, out of sight out of mind :) Having said this given the narrowness of the space, is it ok to have glass door ( maybe a few mirror doors) or have no doors... Is closed storage a cleaner look... I do like the idea of kayozzy for the 30' long wall to have of lengths of storage closets. I also like bluemarble idea of mirrors and velvet curtains at the windows. Should there be seating with storage at the windows? About material is generally used for closet, wood, UV or some kind of Acrylic (plywood and MDF), anyone has any thoughts on these materials please chime in, would appreciate it. No worries Mark, bring it on, that is the idea to hear all of it...

I don't have an opinion on the linen storage, but I'd recommend leaving the vanity area at the same height as the drawers. In my current bathroom, I have a dropped vanity (30" vs. the 36" counter), and I HAVE to sit to be able to see myself in the lighted mirror, or at least stoop down in an unflattering position. In the home we're currently building, my vanity is the same height as my sink area, with a continuous countertop that provides a cleaner look and more room for hair supplies, makeup, etc. to spread out while I'm getting ready. I can choose to stand if it's a quick routine, or sit on a counter height stool if I want. I know it's a different room you're discussing, but I still think the advantages of a continuous countertop and flexibility of standing or sitting applies for your situation; a bar height stool would work for a 42" vanity area.
