We installed solid wood shiplap against the outer wall of the half bath.

I’m not a fan of shiplap either, but whatever floats your boat. (Actually I don’t see any lapping so I’d call it wood paneling.)

I think I’d change out the hanging pictures - the bathroom appears very narrow and as-is the frames look like shoulder bumpers. Have you considered hanging poster-type things instead? Large posters are usually framed with flat, narrow metal frames which would be less obtrusive. There are lots on Etsy.

Great job, and very brave of you. I really want to downsize our 2nd bathroom to a half bath because it opens directly into the sitting room and there's absolutely no sense of privacy. Removing the tub would allow much greater separation of the bathroom from the living space. We mostly use the 2nd bathtub to wash cat boxes and bird feeders, and wouldn't a utility sink in the basement be much better for that purpose? Our financial analyst and others caution us against the change because they think it would lessen the value of the house. Does anyone here have thoughts on that topic?

Does the third bath function as a powder room that just happens to have a shower or is there another reason for it? Pool bath? Shop or outdoor cleanup before entering the main house? Can't really think of any others, but those might be reasons why someone would pay more for a full bath in that location, but if it's functionally a powder room, a shower wouldn't seem to add any value at all -- functional laundry space will.

The half bath/powder room is the most public bathroom in your home so this is your chance to make a statement and WOW your guests. I think if you want a "classy" farmhouse feel, definitely remove the chair rail and install bead board wainscot to a high rail about shoulder height. Baseboards should be at least 6" high and door frame should be at least 3" wide. On the wall above the rail, use a contrast grey colour paint or a dramatic wallpaper print. An amazing pendant or sconce light will top it off.

@shirlpp - We need a mirror for the vanity so it has to be against a wall. As for shower on the window side, it's a rather large window, we would have to replace it with something smaller. @littlebug zone 5 Missouri Thanks for the input. That kitchen island is not really an island and can be removed. We're thinking of closing off the master access to the kitchen door but those late night snack route to the kitchen would be much longer haha. We're gonna put some thoughts into this. @eld6161 Thanks for the photo. I can picture the layout from your post. I think our space is a bit bigger so this might work.

Verbo. My interior style is mountain lodge to reflect the location and while it's not a log home, my goal is to make it more log/timber looking inside. You decide if it fits the location...

This is NOT the "shiplap" trend. This is entirely different and perfectly suited for a woodsy home. It looks good and it's pretty unique. I like the photo frames but if they're too squishy maybe not. :)

I think it looks good but it is not "shiplap", it is tongue & groove, "center match" to be exact, there is a difference. Not looking to correct you just pointing it out so you know the correct nomenclature.
