Tell us how you use the space. I know that it is an office, but do you also entertain there? Watch TV? Eat?

this is mainly used as a home office space. We entertain guests in our other living hall (where the TV is).

However i have considered an option of adding a TV into the space (likely wall mounted). If i do my proposed layout would be as below:

Also, can we do lighter colored, more textured curtains?

Wanna change the light out?

Honestly that display shelving just looks a mess do you really need any of that stuff displayed? How many sofas are you needing ? IMO the space looks like you didn't know what to do with all this furniture so you put it in here . IMO figure what you need in the space and get rid of the rest I would do a closed storage unit low not up the wall and then store all the office stuff in there and wall mount a TV then orient the furniture for TV watching so there is an actual focal point . Do you need all those monitors . IMO a nice desk and frile cabinets that match or better yet a larger desk and those cabinet things all in that unit I mentioned.

I have to agree with the comments regarding the shelf. Maybe utilize more of the bins you have there, they look nice and neat. I don't really get the side panels on the curtains - do they cover wall or windows? Agree on lighting. When you come up with the optimal furniture arrangement, I would come back here to get comments on how to hang the artwork. Looks like you have nice pieces, but they are a little high.

I also have to agree with Patricia's comments. You have a lot of very large pieces in the room and many, many small pieces in the 25 cubby shelf unit. Assuming you have to work with what you have, consider getting rid of the shelf unit entirely and making half of the room a more defined lounge/conversation area and the other half your office.

Position the large ottoman so the sofa and round chair can share it, and you may be able to position the chair ottoman in the corner to function as a bench. Select large scale art or a gallery for the wall across from the sofa to create a beautiful focal point and coordinate pillows and throws to relate to the art.

Push the desk closer to the corner, then place the two separate storage units on the opposite wall with a glass top to function either as another desk or a table top. Place floating shelves above it for a small amount of books if you need them, or a carefully curate favorite items from the large shelving unit.

ETA: if you decide to add a TV, you can mount it on the short wall above the chair ottoman and pull it out when in use.
