Current Covid exposure guidelines.

I can find recommendations on the CDC website IF you were exposed to someone who is positive...but what about when it is a person in their household and they are caring for them. What is recommended? Co-worker has someone at home who tested positive. How do we keep ourselves safe if they could possibly transmit it? They could be fine today, tomorrow the next day and come to work and end up positive after that...then we've been exposed too. I am pretty sure they (caretaker) was vaccinated, but still, they could get it and bring it here.
