My kitchen is almost identical and i used the matte nickel knobs on all cabinets and used the same on the drawer pulls with a slight hammered finish with a touch of black in them. They look great!

Thank you for your help! I was hoping I could just replace the faucet with a brass one and get away with it? Inspo picture is below. Sometimes all black/white/silver finishes come off as cold and masculine…was trying to avoid that.

I totally think you can make the brass work! Of the three you posted I actually like the top one (Richelieu?) the best. I think the curve to it gives it a softer, vintage-y feeling.

I like the look of this last pic you posted; the matte, rustic bronze hardware looks (at least to me) like Top Knobs “Aspen Flat” in Light Bronze. We just redid our kitchen, and we have Chantilly Lace cabs (with Taj Mahal and walnut tops) and the same Aspen Flat….we love it. The tone is soft, a bit rustic, “uneven”, timeless; they are solid cast bronze…..beautiful, but not cheap! (Incidentally, we also used Clé Zellige 4x4” in Weathered White😉)

What I just noticed about my inspiration picture above, however, is that all of the appliances have pannelled fronts…So while I love that look, my kitchen will not replicate it really bc I have exposed stainless steel microwave, nickel faucet, stainless steel oven and fridge mixed - all next to brass hardware in a small kitchen…My adjacent eating area has oil rubbed bronze lighting and curtain rod though, which goes better with brass.😵‍💫😅 It’s like a rubics cube I cant figure out! I would like the space to feel femine, soft, sophisticated as it’s only my daughter and I. The rest of my home is transitional, coastal, southern. I could do something ornate like the Brixton pull (#3) in a satin nickel or chrome? Or go for brass

CORAY can I ask where you got your pendant lights? MCRAWF I do think brushed brass pairs well with ORB (if that’s what you have throughout the home)…lean more towards a thinner profile with a less is more approach to sizing ….that last inspiration photo you posted is strange…look at all the overhead cabs by the sink (modern profile) and then fridge wall vs island (am I seeing 3 different types…maybe it’s my eyes)…but of those 3 that I’m seeing the fridge wall metal profile approach ‘reads’ more feminine. That’s a way to do nickel/stainless and make it feel more feminine.

mcrawf: thank you! We actually are in the mountains, and I’ve had neighbors tell me that “it’s not very mountain-y”….oh, well….can’t please everyone! (Not that I try to please my neighbors 😉….everyone’s a critic.) As you can see, we have non-paneled stainless appliances, too, and the mix of metals doesn’t bother me, but everyone is different, so get what you like. We had really pretty hammered dark bronze pulls from Top Knobs previously, and this would be cohesive with what you have and go with your counters, as well. Good luck!
Thinkdesignlive: I think they came from Shades of Light. In their online photos the glass looks more softly rippled, but when we received them I felt the glass looks more polka-dotty, which I’m not crazy about. For now they stay, but likely not forever.

Coray- To me it’s an upscale mountain McGee vibe🤣. You have walnut range hood and island and tree leaves in all your windows.⛰ 🏠! I did see you had stainless appliances. Those 3 are really the only cold/gray things you have in there and youre right it all blends so nice.

thinkdesignlive- I think what you’re saying, if I understand you correctly, is that you would recommend a simple, contemporary brass (I dislike tbars, but maybe square?) or a more substantial, traditional/ornate polished nickel pull (like in my 2nd pic). Is that correct? i have ORB door knobs, light, curtain in the adjacent eating area, but nickel in all 3 BRs.

secondary question- are you pro or con putting a handle on each of the two faux panels in front of the sink? I’m thinking big enough to hold a kitchen towel on or not at all, but not sure.

It’s ok to bring in some warm metallic tones as long as you repeat them other places. Think light fixtures. Just a warm tone faucet alone will look lonely.

I think once you get your cabinet fronts installed you’ll have an easier time deciding on handles. There is no reason why you can’t have mixed metals, even in a small kitchen, you just need to be patient & find the right ones. Are you having your current cabinet front holes filled while they are being painted so you are not limited to size/length of new hardware? Also, if you LOVE Cle tile (and really, who doesn’t?) then I would urge you to leave your existing tile and save up for it instead of settling for boring subway tile. It is your house, get what you love even if you have to wait a bit longer for it!

Howistyle- I think I am going to go brass for the hardware! I love the warmth. I like the Top Knobs Brixton pull in honey bronze paired with the TK Nouveau mushroom knob. Do you think that would work? Lets just imagine there is a cle tile back splash😆

Mcrawf, what do your cab fronts look like? Flat front doors? I like the knobs, but not sure about the pulls… if you have plain flat front doors, pulls might be too “fancy” with all of the detail on the ones you choose above… all knobs might be better, but wait until fronts are installed and then you can figure out your options. I think a new (larger) light fixture in the same finish as you choose for the knobs/pulls will really help tie everything together along with new faucet for sink. If the light fixture is new, then as suggested above, you are better off sticking with the oil rubbed bronze so there is cohesion. Still voting for Cle tile, especially if your cabs are flat front as the tile will really be the star of the kitchen if you keep hardware very simple. Post more pics once freshly painted fronts are back on & you’ll get a lot of help on this forum.

I don’t think there are any rules regarding the use of cabinet hardware. Choose what you like, it will be beautiful.
