Math gurus, I need your help

I bought a Kirkland jumbo box of cling wrap a number of years ago. Excellent wrap, and a good value.

3,000 sq feet, 278 sq meters. At the time it was $14, thereabouts. Now it's gone up significantly; $25. I'm not willing to pay that price.

My local store has their store brand, but of course the measurements are different. It just says 762 meters, not square meters. It's 18.99. Is there any way of doing a decent comparison?

If the store brand is a foot wide then you have 2500 sq. ft of wrap.

Do you know how wide the store brand is? My Costco wrap is 750 sq ft., so yours is 4 times as much. saran Wrap is 11 1/2” wide , Costco’s is 11 7/8”.

I remember reading somewhere that yellow houses are appealing to buyers. I do like #1, and it might work with a deep plum colored door. I prefer #4 to the grayer browns (in #2 & 3) because it works better with the color of your roof. I don't care for the door color in #1 & 6 ... looks like cat s**t brown to me! But a door is easy to paint and that could be changed right before you list. Your front door looks much better with the semi-circular area over it painted the same color as the trim, instead of the siding color, imo.

Oh, I wish ours was a non-event snow wise. It keeps snowing and snowing. The guys just headed out with hopes the paved country road between us and the highway has been plowed since they got home awhile ago. Our son has an all wheel drive vehicle and he barely made it through only to get stuck in our neighborhood. Luckily a wonderful farmer, known to all as Grampa, and his son came along and pulled our son out and let hubby park at Grampa's place just up the highway from our turn off. Our county called all trucks in since it's blowing over the highways/roads as fast as they can clear them. It's advised that no one should be out unless it's an emergency. Hopefully they'll (hubby and son) make the two mile round trip without any trouble. It's been like this since just Christmas Eve. Reminds me of when I was kid and once it started snowing it kept snowing until Spring and then it thawed. Just wish everyone could work from home on days like this. Oh and we must have close to three feet of snow now if not more. It's quite beautiful though. I do hope you find what you're looking for. Moonshadow, what a day you had! You are braver than I am. Must be young. LOL.

I did a standard crescent (I think) white (there are about 6 different whites). I just matched the paper and I left 1/2" all around the print showing, plus enough at the bottom for the signature and seal. The mats on all of them, no matter the size is 3", so about 2 1/2 or so shows. It's a single mat, no spacers. I don't know if you can tell, but the matting isn't a perfect match with all of the papers, but it's very close to all of them. DH has collected a few more, but we haven't had them all framed, because it's a bit dear, I'll tell you what. We'll get to them, eventually. He's been trying to find all the names for them (from other Ebay listers). Did you see the original oil that just went on Ebay for $2,000+? It was gorgeous. DH says he got some of ours from finestartprints, as well.

Buehl, thanks so much for the tip. I will email you to get the template. That is such a generous offer! Once I settle on the initial layout, I will post for critiques. Currently I am traveling and only have the iPad. Does anyone have opinions on losing the kitchen table? Would you lose a table (given the other eating areas in home) to gain more prep space and storage? Why do some people prefer the pennisula bars at the same height of counter? Oh.. And all this renovation is starting because we had a busted water line to refrigerator flood the entire kitchen. Talk about stressful!! The kitchen was always in our plan, just 12-18 months down the road. Does anyone know if the restoration/mold remediation company determines all lowers need to be removed, is it customary for the insurance company to pay for uppers too?

Here’s a better photo of that brand, that can be enlarged to see it is 218 square meters.

Kirkland 2500 cents for 278 square meters = 8.99 cents/square meter.

Store brand 1899 cents for 218 square meters = 8.71 cents/square meter

Is there any way to test the store wrap? I've found store brands that are absolute cr@p. Which then leaves you a choice of throwing it out which is not economicsl at all, or suffering with it. Format économique de 762m soit plus long que 6 terrains de football - that'd be a lot of suffering!

I think it must be length then, not square meters. 762 sq meters is 8202 sq ft , almost 11 times the size of my Costco plastic wrap! So 762 m X .286 m = 218 sq meters ( I rounded).

18.99 / 218 = ..087 per sq meter for store brand and 25/278.7= .09 for Costco.

I go to the dollar store (Dollarama) and buy the Betty Crocker cling wrap and their tin foil by the same brand. SO much less expensive and I prefer the quality as well.

FOOD that was my thought as well. Judging by the quality of their aluminum foil, this should be good. Their foil is far superior to Alcan and Reynolds.

What I'm going to do, is buy a small box and make sure that the plastic is good quality.

So based on this query, I'd rather pay $18.99 than $26.

The Kirkland brand has a sliding cutter included with their box, and so I would buy that instead of the store brand. You can waste a lot of plastic wrap if the cutter is not efficient.

I never use the plastic cutter. I’ve never had a problem with cutting plastic wrap.

I just got back from walking to the store. I checked the plastic wrap while I was there, and I don't see a cutter. More importantly it has gone up $3 since last week. :-(
