Waterfurnace claims they have rectified the "formicary corrosion" problem. I would recommend discussing a 10-year parts and labor warranty - from Waterfurnace, as this has been a problem and as there are several technologies in 7 Series that while not entirely new are new to Waterfurnace products and relatively new to the residential market. One of these technologies that is offered in the 7 Series and not in 5 Series is âÂÂElectronic Expansion Valvesâ (EEV). Without getting into the weeds, this is a big step up from Thermostatic Expansion Valves (TXV) and in my opinion IS a BIG deal! ItâÂÂs not commonly found in residential equipment at this point in time but it will become more common in the future. It is my personal opinion that if youâÂÂre going in - go ALL in! Install the best. IâÂÂm never sorry when I install the best. IâÂÂm only sorry if I didnâÂÂt when I had the chance. I get over the money part very quickly - but I know IâÂÂll NEVER forgive myself for cutting corners if it doesnâÂÂt work out and it usually doesn't. But thatâÂÂs just me⦠BECOME YOUR OWN EXPERT - but KNOW what you donâÂÂt know! IMO SR

Andy, Thanks to you and other GWers, my first lot of limoncello is in a jar in the pantry. And I zested an additional 1 1/2 dozen lemons with my swivel zester/peeler to freeze the "twists" for my pre-dinner help-me-through-the cooking martinis. Then I juiced all 2 1/2 dozen lemons (and the two limes) and have the first batch of juice freezing in an ice cube tray. This will take a while--at least two more, maybe three, trays to go. Then they get dumped into a bag and are wonderful for summer lemonade. Not sure what I will use them for come cool weather. (I DO love the Breville citrus juicer. One of my better toys. So quick and so very little waste.) I used a microplane zester on the limes, which I could not peel with my swivel zester blade thingee without getting white pith. The zester I use has a catch basin and is another of my favorite kitchen tools. I linked it below. A really nice toy. I have others I bought before I found this one, but they just sit in the drawer. This is the go-to microplane for me. Thank you SO much for your help and the link to your blog. I will look forward to your future posts on GW, including the one about your triple-berry non-cello cello. Yep, Jessy, that's the book. I liked it. May, here's the recipe for the salad. I have no idea if this is really Robert Redford's recipe. But anyway you can think of him for inspiration when you make it! Robert Redford's Terrific Green Olive Salad 9 ounces frozen artichoke hearts [I use more; canned work, too] 1 cup boiling water 1 head romaine lettuce, torn up 1 cup mung bean sprouts Dressing 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1/4 cup wine vinegar or 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 4 teaspoons fresh dill, chopped 1 tablespoon chopped parsley 2 scant teaspoons granulated sugar 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper 1 cup pimento-stuffed olives Plunge artichoke hearts in boiling water; remove pan from heat and let stand only 2 minutes. [Or use canned.] Drain and chill. Combine artichoke hearts, romaine, bean sprouts and olives. In small jar with tight-fitting lid, combine vegetable oil, wine vinegar, dill, parsley, sugar, salt, mustard and pepper. Shake well to combine. Just before serving, pour over salad and toss until well coated. I don't use all the dressing. Serve with barbecued steak or grilled rainbow trout.

Ginzhomestead, Yes. I went to three different yards. I had seen Bross blue polished in a kitchen display. I ended up seeing three lots of Bross blue polished and two lots of Bross blue leathered before I tagged my slab. (And that was after I drove my fabricator crazy with quotes for Tan Brown, Steel gray, and quartz lol) For us, it really came down to soapstone or the Bross blue leathered. The Bross blue had a similar look at a significantly lower price point and with tougher wear. Given our household, we thought our pets, kids, etc would take us past soapstone patina and into soapstone destruction. DH and I stayed up late getting all the doors (except the lazy Susan, which is going to require reading the instructions) and drawer fronts on. Since the electrician and plumber address coming soon, I'll go get dressed and save photo updates until the _appliances are in_. I may actually have a functional kitchen before the day is done!!!
