Bathroom Vanity Countertop

Looking for help on what to do for countertop. I was thinking of a carrara to pair with shower tiles but it has been challenging to find something that pairs well. I thought about calacatta but I feel it may clash, although, the shower threshold is calacatta…but it doesn’t look bad since it transitions the dark vein with the floor. I hope. Should I go with a plain white countertop to avoid having too much going on. The faucet and cabinet handles will be black matte as well to pair with shower head and floor. Sharing photos so you can get a visual. Suggestions please. I appreciate your time.

I would do solid white. No more patterns. Corian is great

Is there enough room for the drawers next to the door to open past the door trim? As for the counter, it depends on what you like. Since the shower threshold is Calacatta I would use that if you like natural materials. Solid white would look good too but that would be a manmade material.

In addition to the commnets by the previous posters, I want facts in an e-article. Vague, wordy, this-or-that, outdated, and out of touch is the best way I can describe illa maden's unopinionated opinions. 1) Not any more it isn't. 2) Seal with what? Describe proper care? 3)Texture? Tactile or visual? Does a certain color indicate a certain geological makeup of the stone that makes it more or less durable than another color? Why honed versus polished? Pluses or minuses? 4)What mishap? A chip? A crack? a stain? And how is it repaired? DIY friendly? Pro? Expensive??? 5) Will it? You made statements without telling me anything! Ah, the beauty of the internet. Where anyone can be an e-star with their very own e-zine. Do you even know where you live? Guam? Bermuda? As a rule, BB cabinets and counter tops are separate, but sold as a unit. The usual procedure is to adhere the counter top to the cabinet with silicon. That means simply running a knife between the joint should cut the sealer on the open sides/front of the cabinet. Then pull/pry the counter top free.

sorry, but that was very poorly done. you don't need a side splash (there are other options) , certainly not one done in that manner. This one is also incorrect. they're too thick. they probably cut the backsplash piece from a leftover piece of the granite. But, at least it's sitting on top. This is your basic Lowes, 30" vanity and countertop with a 1/2" overhang. looks like a 2-3" backsplash piece, installed correctly. they have a budget/basic 4" spread faucet. This is an option. (wall treatment like this shiplap on the side) or you could use tile. But if you feel you really want one, install the vanity/countertop, and the side portion goes on top. It should NOT be done like your current one. here's a pic of one we did on a budget redo but someone Sits right on top, along w/the piece across the back. (BTW, if you do a wall mount faucet, you'll gain a lot more countertop space and easier to clean) this lined up fine w/the plumbing you're getting a new vanity w/a diff countertop? any idea what type? The measurement of the vanity is usually 29-30" (for that size) with a 1/2" or so for the countertop overhang. You shouldn't have to worry about moving your plumbing.

IMO you are now forced to do a very plain counter This is a good example of way too many finishes in a bathroom maybe a solid black could work.

@kandrewspa yes the draws are able to open. The picture is a bit deceiving there’s a filler between the wall and the 3 drawer cabinet. Thank you I appreciate the feedback.

You need to go in person to look at slabs and bring samples of your tiles because there are all different types of whites. Look at MSI Calacatta Botanica but you need to see a current slab. It is white with a very very subtle gray veining that is not obvious from a distance.....actually looks white from a distance. I have it in my master bath and love it. Before I redud the bathroom I had marble counters and would not get marble again for a bathroom.
