Replacing a bathroom vanity sink/countertop-need advice

Background: Basement bathroom and I want to update the single bowl counter top and sink. Originally, I installed (well, my contractor) a big box vanity/counter top combo. YouTube videos suggest cutting the caulking to loosen the seal around the counter top. Since I purchased it all together, I am concerned that the counter top is glued to the cabinet. If that is the case, how should I proceed? The counter top is cultured marble so I don't think it is screwed into the base like a Formica top might be,
