Undermount Bathroom Sinks - What size are your sinks?
Comments (13)We are doing an 88 inch double vanity with towers (the towers are 14" wide and 9" deep). Our two oval undermount sinks are the Kohler Verticyl 17 x 14 which is the same size as the mid-size Caxton. I think that should be enough elbow room both between the sinks and on the outer ends. By the way, has anyone used any of the Verticyl sinks, either oval, round or rectangle? They are straight-sided and flat-bottomed. I worry a bit about how well the water will drain but they are so sharp looking.........See MoreVanity top help!! Vessel, counter+undermount sink, all in one?
Comments (5)I haven't bought it yet (the bathroom is just gutted at the moment), so I can't comment on quality. It says it is tempered glass though, so it should be pretty tough, and I think Pegasus is a reasonable brand overall. I have seen it at Expo (by the way, it was cheaper at Expo than at Home Depot!) and it looked solid enough. There are also some similar tops at this webpage, but they are wider. I just found this by googling though, and have never heard of this site before so I dont know anything about their quality. Comments (6)The problem is that the sink has an eased inside edge and not perfectly angled flat to fit against the underside of the stone. The fabricator should have cut the sink hole larger, to give more of a reveal of the sink edge, so that it contacted the stone where it is flat. This could be exacerbated by it not being a true undermount sink that is attempting to be undermounted. Or, it could be a hand made sink that isn't flat and can't be properly mounted without a gap. It's difficult to say exactly without viewing the installation in person....See MoreKohler Verticyl Oval under-mount bathroom sink
Comments (6)Thanks Jules8 for your feedback. I'm not too picky about spotting. This will be a bathroom used daily. I am glad to hear that there isn't splashing. I will be using a single hole Hansgrohe faucet. Thanks for the info about the slope, and as you've indicated it seems too shallow. I have a limited space for the sink in my vanity and this one provides a lot of interior space within the confines of my cabinet. If I decide to get another sink I will have to call the cabinet maker to double check the tolerance I have. The look of this sink is really nice though and I probably will stay with it....See Moremrspete
