I like the Urbane Bronze, I don't like the garage door with the brick. Hope you plan to leave the shutters off

I'd forget the white trim and paint it all the dark tone you choose.

The Urban Bronze has more character.

Yes I’m definitely removing the shutters. All of the modern modern garage doors are on back order for six months! My garage guy had this modern steel door in stock and it actually is the same town as the bricks so I thought it would look good to blend in. Versus getting a standard white colonial garage door with no windows, I thought that had more style. Thoughts? Also are you recommending to not paint the soffit and facia white? Keep it all dark even though the windows will be white?

That cherry color is the wrong color against the brick. they will clash. (unless you're painting it?)

this is Iron Mountain w/dark trim. the addition of wood slat siding really amps up the look. if you want to go a bit more modern, you'll have to make some changes

Or how about this one? this you can do. (except your windows are white so you'll have to work w/that) Urbane bronze and Alabaster trim would work w/the windows. if you want this garage door,,

You'll have to rework the landscape and porch/front door design. bring in natural wood. flagstone/cement paver walkway. take out all of those hedges. can you enlarge the front porch?

I wouldn't do a colonial style. there are in-between options.

wait on the front door until everything else is painted.

will you be removing all of those round shrubs? they are completely blocking the front of the house. I'd play around w/redoing the walkway and redo the flower beds.

if you want to really update that split, do it like this. (minus the shutters since your window placement doesn't allow for it)

Any chance you could switch out the siding over the garage area to a board and batten?

will you be doing any stairs from driveway to front door?

Beth H….wow thank you so much for all of the ideas! The siding is staying and will be repainted. That’s mainly what I’m trying to coordinate..the color scheme for siding garage and front door. I will definitely spruce up the landscaping and I’m getting a new modern black railing out front. I’m good with all of those little things. The problem is garage doors are scarce and that cherry one is available. The only other option is a basic white and I could paint the siding color which is kind of boring. I really wish I could do a steel one in a different finish versus the charity, maybe just a cedar or lighter tone. Yes I’m definitely getting rid of the shutters

RL Location…. Thank you so much for that. You have a much better photo shop program than I do and you are right, that looks terrible! Here’s my situation… There are no garage doors to be found except the white ones. Which I could paint as you show in the second mock up. I would much rather go with a “wood grain“ look if possible. The tone that I want which is a much lighter shade, more natural or even cedar looking, it’s about a six month wait. So I guess yours would be the definite second best option versus a big white door there. Thoughts?

Don't know if the garage door has been ordered or not but the cherry wood colour doen't work with the brick. If you're going for one of the dark colours you mentioned with new white windows that's you've ordered, I would paint the front and garage door in white as well as all trim. The landscaping also needs to be adressed including the walkway. Can't see if there's a sconce at the front door but I suggest a large black one, 2 others flanking the garage door as well as large street numbers.

Lisedv….thank you so much!!! No, the garage door has not been ordered but it’s the only one I can find in stock other than plain white. And yes I am definitely leaning towards keeping it white because I agree that color does clash. May I ask what program you used for that photo shop? I really appreciate everyone taking the time to show me these mock ups. I really need to learn how to use these programs, and which ones would be best for this type of thing. I am so visual so this helps tremendously. Thanks again!
