Backsplash Dilemma

Hey everyone,

I’m almost done with my remodel, but unfortunately realized a little too late into the process that I need some sort of backsplash behind the vanity to protect the walls. Here is a current photo of the bathroom remodel (please note, the tub will be refinished to be white):

I originally wanted to find a backsplash piece to match the engineered stone sink. I’ve called a few marble yards but they all say they won’t be able to do a perfect match. One even said he won’t match existing pieces anymore because they never match perfectly.

My contractor wants me to use tile, but I’m concerned tile will not coordinate with the tile that’s already in the shower/rest of the bathroom. I also think a strip of tile above the vanity might look out of place. Even though I’m doing this part after the fact, I don’t want the backsplash to end up looking like an after thought.

Here is a photo of the shower, so you can see the other tile I already have:

So, I'm not really sure what type of backsplash I can do at this stage of the remodel. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated!!
