I like the tiles, but am not sure I would want a whole room of either of them. And since you have not said what the living room will be, that will be three types of flooring on one floor. Personally, I would not follow your plan.

Have you purchased at least one box of each tile and laid it out in the floor just to see if you really want a full floor of it? I am really worried about the kitchen tile.

But assuming you like it after laying out the floors, there's nothing to stop you.

What I would do instead, however, is to find other uses for the tile that you love. Perhaps as the kitchen backsplash. The hallway tiles would stunning in a bathroom, especially if you have a small powder room (as it is called where I live).

Pick one and only use it in one of the spaces. It’s too much and will look chaotic to use any more.

@kempek01 I have ordered samples but they are not enough to lay on the floor. I did use though the store's app where you upload a photo and it shows you how the tiles would look in your room. The entry hallway result I am hoping for is like the attaches picture here.

The living room will be wood

The inspo tiles (which i love btw) look more classic to me than the encasutic style you’re considering (tile dates so quickly these days that personally i would select something more simple but that’s me) - do you have a good local tile store that could help you?

And I agree. I prefer the inspiration pic as the encaustic tiles are trendy and will be dated before you turn around.

IMO in a small space all one flooring not each room different .In this case all wood.

I think tile in a foyer is practical, so I vote for tile in the foyer (whether it's what you've already chosen or something else is up to you) and wood everywhere else. Even though the tile is a little busy, if it's just in the foyer it shouldn't be too overwhelming. Another idea is to put the same solid color tile in both the kitchen and foyer (if you really want tile in the kitchen) and use a decorative tile for a border in the foyer, or as a centerpiece, like a rug. These pictures aren't exactly what I am thinking of, but they're as close as I could get in a quick search.

the tiles I like are called Victorian style and I live in Germany, so the selection itself is limited, and essentially only online. I'm kind of alone in planning this :(

@kandrewspa thanks for the pics! I know what you mean, I have seen this style as well and I really like it. But I think my hallway is too narrow for this. The more I think of it the less it looks like it will work.

Since the living room, kitchen and bathroom all have doors to the hallway, and the door to the living room is straight across from the main entrance, maybe I do wood in the hallway and living room, making the space look bigger and longer, and then do tiles in the bathroom and kitchen. This way the tiles will be "separate" and there won't be a style clash!
