Where is the rest of the kitchen? I see only a sink, a beverage refrigerator and a bunch of cabinets.

@millworkman the 2 most left high cabinets are a fridge and freezer, on the right of them is the oven and a wine fridge below it. Then on the right is the cooking plate with an extractor over it. Right next to it is a dishwasher and right of that is the sink. Most appliances are integrated so not clearly visible.

Here are some alternate compositions of materials.

IMO if you want 3 finishes they should be in balance I think the heavy wood left side is too much wood and plunking in black appliances id not how you do this.

I almost never care for two tone kitchens, and i think the white looks cheap/plasticky next to the wood in your sample. i am probanly biased there though.

more importantly for function you need more space between cooktop and sink for prep. and DW should not be between sink and cooktop. you have room to the right of sink for it. Is the vent going to be that low? as pictured i can’t imagine cooking there.

Good points @lharpie. And yes the extractor is just under the top cupboards. Why do you prefer the DW to the right of the sink?

Maybe the two walls could be made more cohesive by running dark, top trim across both walls, kind of like in the first @BeverlyFLADeziner photo.

Your prep space is always between sink and stove - ie bring veggies from fridge to wash them, cut in prep space, then cook. if the dw is on the right of the sink someone else could be cleaning up while you are cooking. otherwise it is right where you want to be while cooking.

i really think you need to raise cabinetry over sink and stovetop or no one is ever going to want to actually use this kitchen.

I like that base cabinets are all with drawers. And I like long island.

I don't mind two tone, and I don't mind the dark countertop.

If you did a white countertop, I'd do this in a heartbeat for the backsplash design.

suede finish charcoal quartz. While I like the countertop, I don't particularly care for these white cabinets w/it. And certainly not the white backsplash. don't like this one (except for the two lower pieces)

I like the white in this picture better. maybe it's because they have a partial white hex floor, and white chairs at the table. seems to work better than the one above.

Add island with sink, you dont want to look at the cabinet door while washing dishes. move cooktop to the middle, add nice hood and just shelfs aroud it. Use light countertop with waterfall design on the island. I love your cabinet colors.

My design books says that there should be at least 36" between the cooktop and sink.

Why? Several of the photos posted by other commenters show the bottom of the hood at the same height as the adjacent cabinets. If he were installing an over-the-range microwave instead of a hood, the bottom of the oven would be the same height (example). Mine is.

yes 36” is ok. i was assuming this was 24” if dw is there. there are no measurements so perhaps i am mistaken.

yes, this is one of the things i hate about mw above the stove - the lack of space. you won’t find much love for mw over the stove here. It would depend on how high up the uppers are hung i suppose - some of the examples look higher than standard which makes it more appealing but harder to reach. i am also used to planning spaces for very tall people, and my husband is always cranky we put hood at max spec height of 34” rather than higher!

Even the least capable electric cooktop requires a minimum 24” vertical clearance. Sleek may look great, but it is useless at capturing cooking vapors. If that kitchen is going to ever be used, the cabinets and rooms will have a greasy dirty film on them with that “vent” setup.

I agree an island is necessary here. Imagine taking a heavy roasting pan from the oven or loading groceries into the fridge. Where will you set things down? Aside from the corner, the nearest usable counter space is all the way over to the right of the sink. It's just a question of what size island will fit. How many feet is the top wall of that plan? Are those french doors or windows on the right?

I like the mix of materials and the sleek modern look, but agree with @Patricia Colwell Consulting that more balance is needed between the black, wood, and white to achieve cohesiveness. What colour is the flooring?

For sure get an island. Will bring it all together. We have a two tone kitchen and I love it. Zero complaints. Ours is grey and white but our uppers are white like in yours and rest iron mountain dark grey. No regrets at all.

The wall is 8.2 feet high.

There are French doors to the right, they are about 3 feet wide each.

The flooring is white-ish. It's tiles like the image here:

And actually the distance between an electric cooker and the extractor can even be 21inches. Only for the gas cooker it should be higher.

Any opinions if the top white cupboards should be glossy or matte?

I have changed the design as in the new picture.

Now thinking if I should change the sink to stainless steel or white or just keep it in black.

Also the separators, if they should be better in black or stainless steel like in the picture now.

Scaling off the 6' door to the right, this is a smaller space. About 8.5x11'. No space for an island of more than 3x3. The existing space function would improve with some use made of the counter to the right of the sink. Place the oven/wine frig at the right end and you have open up usable counter on the frig segment. Flip the tall pantry cabinet to the left end of the frig run. Natural Vintage Oak is a much better tone than the rendering. The floor shown may conflict. If you're getting new flooring, no yellow tone. Drop the white uppers for all wood once the oven is moved. Counter should be matte. Instead of one full size oven, make it a CSO. Miele has models. You'll use it more and not miss the large oven. You need at least under cabinet lighting with good power. Under all uppers. Minimum 450 lumens at the counter. The lighting shown in the plan will cause shadows from your body at some workstations. Don't worry about washing veg out of the frig. Wash them before your put them in. I'd swap the french inward opening doors for a sliding door with the opening one on the right, away from the kitchen. Or have the french doors open out.

Are the handles on the drawers stainless steel? I'd make the vertical handles stainless steel too.

To add interest, you might consider not running the vertical handles all the way to the floor. Won't there be handles on the cabinets above and to the right of the ovens?

Thanks @wdccruise. I missed to mark one more track. Here it is marked with blue arrow. From your example photos I have the impression that black lines would look nicer. For not going to the bottom, I'm afraid the design isn't like that, I have no option there.

I'd make all the handles the same material.

When you bring groceries home that need to go in the fridge and freezer, where will you put the bags? When you need to take things out of the fridge and freezer, where will you put them?

And when you take food out of the oven, where will you place it down? Poor design from a practical standpoint.

Additionally your sink is too close to your cooktop. 36" is the minimum and honestly 42"-48" is better.

What do you think is better the horizonal or the vertical grain?

Note that the horizontal must have a line on the left part on height of the countertop because of the manufacturer needs.

Have you selected the ovens? How wide? Have you confirmed that you can stack them? Why is the lower oven installed so inconveniently close to the floor?

Hi @wdccruise, the lower over is actually a wine fridge. In the design the designer put an oven because he didn't have a winde fridge that size. The electric elements are a standard width - which is around 55cm I think.
