Comments (0)We are re-doing our kitchen (actually our whole house). I have been to two kitchen designers - one only carries Plain & Fancy and the second is recommending Greenfield. I have read a lot about Plain & Fancy but haven't seen as much on Greenfield. I have a price on the P&F but not the Greenfield yet. Any experience with either or help with how they compare would be appreciated. I am looking to do white painted maple shaker style doors with a black soapstone countertop. Comments (18)Thanks. Your sink doesn't have enough overhang for what we are going for. It was cut on site so there was no error. They say ours is typically what they do but they are willing to come and shorten it a little bit. We want to be able to sweep food particles and whatever else directly into the sink. Your sink has a lip before the sink and I feel like food would get stuck there before it made it to the sink. The majority of pictures online show a sink with countertops like ours. Yours is a postive reveal. We still want a negative reveal just not as big as what we have now. Thanks...See MorePeninsula Tile?
Comments (16)I think adding molding would be a heck of a lot easier and cheaper than tiling! There is lots of info on the internet about adding molding to cabinet doors or full size doors that could be followed for adding molding on the back of your peninsula. Or if you won't DIY, it would be a pretty easy/quick job for a handyman. The trickiest part would be getting matching paint, but even if you had to take a cabinet door to the paint store, they can do an exact paint match for you. How long is your peninsula? You might be able to configure a few sizes of doors from Ikea into the space, as it looks like there are lots of widths available. I mean like two at the ends a bit narrower, with two in the middle a couple of inches wider, etc. Or even a row of fake drawer fronts to make it work....See MoreNeed help choosing sofa fabric in a new addition!
Comments (8)BeverlyFLADeziner Thank you!!! The inspiration rooms you posted are great! I like them better than mine. The last picture is my favorite. I like the 4th one too. I love, love the Atlanta Home creamy room, with the slip covers. But I don't know if cream walls will work with the kitchen. Because of the way the family room ties into the kitchen, and the ceiling beam. See the 2 bottom pictures of our space. Do you just end the cream at the corner? Also, I'm not sure where to find a durable comfortable slip covered sectional. Ugg. My floor plan is below. I may just have one chair, the one near the window, because it seems tight. The sectionals I'm looking at will just fit. But my end tables can't be wider than 18 inches, because of breakfast bar chairs. I chose this sectional layout because I'm not sure I want to block the picture window, and because we like to put our feet up. What do you think of the layout? The room's main function is TV, but it is the only living room. We also like the rooms I included below; just to show you our style. I need to narrow down to one inspiration room, I know....See Moremxk3 z5b_MI
