Nevermind the online visualizers. They're carp, IMO. Buxton Blue is pretty vivid, actually. If that is working for you, you may be less bright-color-averse than you think. Of course, every room is different and you are working with cream cabinets now. You don't want too much of a contrast between the walls and the cabs, just a soft neighborly look. :-) Don't go tan. Unless you really want to. It may seem like an easy way out of the color problem, but actually neutrals and their inherent undertones can often be harder to work with, harder to get right. Not I. Many years ago I used it in the back entrance common area of a condo building. The trim was New London Burgundy. Each unit had a different color door. There was at least one green one. It didn't have any noticeable undertones in that location. It looked like a warm off-white or very light tan at night and pretty much disappeared in the glaring sunlight from the west windows in the daytime. You really can't judge a lot from a small sample. Large areas of other colors can have a disproportionate effect on it. Lighting matters, too.

I love shaker beige and have used it in my living room at this house and my bedroom in NH. I don't see green... Please excuse the disaster that my room is in right now. I'm in remodel/pre-party freak out mode. :) Hope these help. Some I used the flash and some I didn't.

Hi, We are looking to paint our front entry way and hall a beige or taupe color. The hallway is connected to our kitchen which is painted BM Ashen Tan. Can anyone recommend beige or taupe paint colors that will go with Ashen Tan? Or at least what undertones to go with and which ones to avoid? Thank you in advance.
