homemade granola with chick peas

I soak the chick peas overnight


then I roast them in the oven for 30 minutes using a tiny amount of coconut oil to coat.


add the roasted chickpeas to:

3 cups instant oats

shelled sunflower seeds

1/4 cup honey

coconut flakes


coat baking sheet with 2 T Coconut oil and spread the mixture on the sheet pan


I then put the oven to 200 and bake for 30 minutes

remove from oven


turn oven to 350


shake up the granola

place back in oven


and turn off oven


I don't use nuts, although the recipe calls for slivered almonds [chickpeas add the crunch]


if you like it dryer, go for it
