Which rose would you buy a raffle ticket for?
Comments (16)Thanks so much for all of your feedback, Rosefolly, you're right about M.A.C being a p.m. magnet here and easy to find so I've scratched her from my list. The idea of taking cuttings from the more rare roses is a great idea; I'll take 3 cuttings from cl. Florence Bowers' Pink Tea while I'm at it, along with 2- 3 of the following. Westside Road Cream Tea Clementina Carbonieri R. moschata cl. K.A.V. Mme. Jules Bouche (of all the H.T.s I've ever rooted this one was in the top 5 of having the highest percentage of strikes) If I have room in my rose rooting bed, I'll take a cutting from each of the roses that you've all kindly mentioned such as ' Souvenir. de Pierre Notting, Catos cluster, and Lady Hilingdon, thanks again Lux...See MoreA few new finds from my outing
Comments (7)Punk: I should have tried the lotto & if I had gotton lucky, I could afford to venture out more ofton. LOL Yes,the big black piece in the middle is a vase. I looved it and had to have it. The little glasses & dessert cups are actually a deep blue in color but we know how well my photography always comes out. lol Luvs: The mini glasses are 2 different sizes. Small dessert cups and tiny little drinking glasses, only about 4 inches tall. I thought they were to cute to pass up on. I'm going to have to remember the hint about putting the pumpkins on the candleholders. Never would have thought of it, thank you :). The little owls- I couldn't help it, they were looking at me. LOL I actually have a plan for them and had been looking for the "correct" looking one for awhile so was tickled to find a set. Things are even better in 2s I think. Jane: LOL, I wish you were closer to. We would have had a grand time & if we'd have gone together, DH would probably have been thrilled since he wouldn't have had to tote the shopping bags. I don't wanna sell my mini glasses but I do wanna see your newly found dishes. lol, Blue seems to attract itself to me and I'm always nosey. I saw a set of the floral frogs at a dinner party I went to about a year ago and simply had to find a set for myself. I just didn't realize how hard that was going to be to do. lol I found them at Goodwill for 12.00 and DH thought I had lost my mind when I made a bee line straight to them before I missed the one chance ever to get them. lol...See MoreI think I'll buy a lottery ticket!!
Comments (15)No, NO Sherry, you can't have the Subzero!! I made do for years with a small refrig/freezer that we bought used when we got married. It was like doing a jigsaw puzzle to get food in and out of it. A year of so after the fourth son was born, I just couldn't fit enough food in it to keep up with the appetites and went out looking for a new one. Accidentally stumbled on to this Subzero as a floor model that they had discounted. We had to work on the cabinets to build it in and it is only the refrigerator (no freezer) so we have to step into the laundry room for ice etc where our big freezer is, but HEY it is wonderful!!! Huge with four BIG crisper drawers and space galore. One of the best buys I've ever made. Always a little strange when new people open it up and stand there looking for the freezer. May have used up some of my luck as today I'm at the hospital with DH who is about to have totally unexpected gall bladder surgery.... but the fridge is still working!!!! Comments (7)tammyinwv, I've heard of that happening and damaging the rv itself. Its really a scarey thing. The cut in the brakeline on ours was a result of my trying to take out a tree stump (not on purpose) with the motorhome back in December. We think it had something to do with the hydraulics failing and something nipped the brakeline. We do check everything before we go on a trip as a rule. We had taken our unit in for an oil change and that's when they discovered the brake and hydraulic problems. We didn't get to go on the trip in January because of the hydraulic jacks going out. No replacements could be found anywhere in the U.S. They were really great jacks, but only made for two years specifically for our brand of motorhome, then the company was sold and they went to a different kind for the new models. We wound up having a complete air leveling system put in. I still say Lou's biscotti and pizzelles were good luck. Lou, I know you're out there, wish you were in here, keep making those luscious treats and know we missed your additions to the forum....See MoreAdella Bedella
