Endless Summer Hydrangeas - Do Yours Live Up to Their Names?

palisades_
last year

I have 6 ES hydrangea bushes over 5 years old that bloom profusely every early summer. Around this time in July they are forming buds again but only on a few stems. The rest of the stems are healthy green vegetative growths until late October when first frost hits. ES hydrangeas website suggests using fertilizer with high P ratio to encourage re-blooming and I do that for 4 of them. The two bushes that don’t get fertilizer after the first flush have vegetative growths but no more blooms until the following year. I think I proved sufficient light, water, mulch, supplemental fertilizer for them, but they are not blooming endless Summer as advertised. Anything else should I be doing to get them blooming profusely after the first flush?
