VEGGIE EATERS! Herbs? Mint Oil? Seashells? Alfalfa Tea?

Chey Ottoson
last year

Have any of these options worked to keep pests from eating your veggies - and/or any other successful solution?

  • Stinky alfalfa tea
  • Broken seashells
  • Peppermint oil in plastic containers with holes
  • Planting herbs - chives, scallions, oregano, mint (in containers), sage, etc around the veggies
  • Dog fur

If this matters, I have bunnies, chipmunks, squirrels, moles, birds, deer (occasionally), and possibly groundhog. I put up plastic fencing and most likely the bunny already chewed a hole. Some items have a chicken wire funnel around them. Would appreciate any feedback. Thank you!
