Have you made sure that your closet has a great built-in organizer to make the best use of your space? Go through all your clothes to make sure you only have what you're actually wearing. (I need to do that right now.) I'm trying to find ways to remove one of your dressers. :-) Since things look a bit crowded with this layout--perhaps you can lay this out on paper or an online room design site to see other options. Maybe even consider a platform bed with drawers below it so you could reduce the need for both dressers if thinning your closets didn't do that. That would allow more room for the chair to fit into a corner, so you can get past it comfortably. If this is the only layout for the bed to fit, then try to find a really narrow nightstand to replace the one turned. Check your local CL for them. Then I think an open style black iron headboard might be a bit better looking than the upholstered one, though I think if the upholstered one weren't massive, and you remove a dresser, it might work also. It seems like it might be too much big dark spots otherwise since on my monitor, your dressers are looking black. Good luck!

I was really glad to see the upholstered bed in the second bed option, cause as I was looking at the room pics & sketch, that what I had in mind IMMEDIATELY. I LOVE that room (LOVE small spaces) & here's my suggestions: 1. Upholstered bed in natural linen. 2. Closet wall & crown moulding in SW Westhighland White. Walls & ceiling in Canvas Tan (flat) 3. Bedding in a soft color...no pattern. Pattern will only make the room smaller. 4. An upholstered bench at the end of the bed in the same linen as the bed with perhaps contrast welt in the color of the bedding. Ebony legs. (Check out Bassett Furniture for both the bed & the bench as an alternative to where you're looking) 5. Ditch the globe pic. Whatever goes over the bed needs to be a simple stretched canvas in soft colors, or sepia tones. 6. I vote for simple bamboo or burlap roman shades inset on the windows. 7. Think more about texture than color & pattern in this room. 8. Consider these for over the nightstands to save all table space. Did some research online, and it seems the shutters dont completely block out the light. Was thinking of adding blackout curtain panels on either side of the larger windows to soften the look of the panels. Not sure about the smaller windows, I dont think curtains will look nice there.

I would suggest that your bed have a headboard, but no footboard, as that will really shrink the room. Perhaps with storage drawers beneath. Maybe you could post some furniture that you've considered but rejected?
