Convection w/without Air fryer & double or single range
Comments (6)First knobs in front or back is usually the difference between a slide in range VS a free standing range. There are some differences you can search here or on Google to see those differences. I am not a double oven fan in a range style unit. I prefer one large oven so large items are not an issue. It has already been pointed out that convection and air fry are one in the same. You just need to get a large basket rack to place your food on. You can usually order one from the manufacturer of whichever unit you decide on. Don't forget the drip pan. $1300 will get you a smooth top radiant electric with a single oven no problem. You can even probably find a convection unit in that price range. Choosing a model with convection and double ovens will probably put you outside your budget. Going induction will blow that budget, but it is a wonderful way to cook IMO. If you can afford more, then I would research the technology before you decide. Just to be fair I did not look up any ranges or prices....See MoreNeeding info on combo oven/air fryers
Comments (4)I've never seen one with a microwave. That sounds like a lot to ask. I just got one on Prime Day, but it's the kind that's shaped like an oven with a drop down door, but isn't much different than a drawer style air fryer, just a better arrangement. Part of the draw is that it's also supposed to dehydrate. I have some beets that are going to test that if I can chip out some time. The unit has a toast rack. I did once throw a couple of pieces of too soft bread in it to make a sandwich, but I was impatient and didn't wait to see whether it would make nice toast. Dried and stiff was good enough for the sandwich. It seems like they're adding "air fry" to everything nowadays. The question is how well does it work. It's just high speed, high heat convection, so I suppose the kind of unit you describe isn't that different from a conventional convection microwave. Mine has a rotisserie spit, cage and skewer holder. The cage is great....See MoreMicrowave with air fryer capability or oven with air fryer capability?

Comments (0)hi - i am getting a new miele 7880 oven, and am wondering if it can serve the function of an air fryer (given air fryers are essentially high output convection ovents). has anyone tried this and how well does the miele oven handle this use case? thanks!...See MoreAnnie Deighnaugh
