Company replaced tile floor with wood w/out removing glue. Now uneven.

My remodel company pulled up tile in the foyer and replaced the existing wood throughout my entire first floor. They didn't rip out the glue (concrete?) underneath the tile so there was a noticeable incline when stepping into the room. They came and cleaned out under the transition plank and it felt ok for a bit but now the next plank is raised at least a penny width higher than the plank that was "fixed' that I assume is the rise of the glue under the wood. Is there a maximum height where this is acceptable/normal or should they come and redo that area, removing the glue?
