Emerald Pearl Granite - need help with backsplash
Comments (0)Our cabinets have been delivered, the fun starts March 3! Whoopie! We have selected shaker/mission style cabinets in cherry with briarwood stain (a medium brown!) The granite we've selected is Emerald Pearl. We have ordered new GE Profile BLACK appliances. We'll have brushed nickel accents throughout. We've selected Natural Cork Earth Series in Toledo. Any suggestions for backsplash? I'd love to see pics of others backsplashes on this post. Thanks all.... Boxie...See MoreOh please post pictures of your black countertops and back splash

Comments (10)The quality of the sink may affect how it reacts with water? If it is a medium to high quality sink, it may not blot? I know of one, that does not. It may be the water could use a water filter on the faucet too. A water filter may remove the mineral left behind by the faucet water? That may be the key? Also, if you have the black sink and determine it does not have hard water spot issues, I would go with a type counter formica(that is not the brand, but the common term referring to what it is) Wilsonart Solicor. It is beautiful and the edges will not have the 'black line' you recall from former formica edges, so it mimics solid surface. They have some tones that will look very nice with your kitchen colors! http://issuu.com/wilsonart/docs/wilsonart_solicor_laminate_brochure?e=1726292/14148260...See Moretitanium island with pearl black perimeter, backsplash advice?
Comments (7)^^I agree. And I'd add that the grout should be as close to the tile color as possible so you don't have more lines in your kitchen. You have enough going on with the two stones, ceiling beams, and the floating shelves--and what will be on them. The eye needs to have a rest. If it's not too late, I'd make the wall receptacles horizontal. That way they will fit much better with the backsplash tile. Your cabinets are gorgeous....See MoreCathie Skreen
